You don't even have SEX on the day that you ovulate..........I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO mad!!!!! I thought I would O this weekend so when we DID have sex it was on CD 12 and I made DH pull out because we are hoping for a boy so I didn't want any spermies in there for a few days before O.

So, needless to say this month was a total bust.............I think I should just stop charting for the rest of the month. I have NEVER o'd on cd 13.........usually I O on cd 15-17. WHATEVER body!

I am so frustrated right now

We are trying for a boy too, but frankly, we decided it cuts down the chance of getting ANY baby too much, kwim? I'm afraid of what you describe happening to us so I gave up. LOL! Good luck next month with it! Hugs!

Yeah DH and I just talked about it and he said "We never did this before and got pregnant and now we are doing all of this crazy stuff and I feel like we're going about it the wrong way." He then asked me if I want a BABY or just a baby boy. I felt really bad at that point and told him that I do really want a boy but of course I would love a girl too.

I kind of agree............It is exhausting enough just TTC let alone TTC a boy........it does really cut down the chances of getting pregnant

Well I think you could still be okay. You had an open circle. Maybe you haven't o'd yet. It really does look like you ovulated but with the negative opks and the open circle I think it is possible. I am not sure how likely though.

If you really want to try for a boy I think you should stock up on cheapie opks, like a ton of them and start taking them as soon as your AF ends. This way you don't miss your surge.

I have never ttc for a specific gender for the exact reasons mentioned above. I need all the sperm I can get up there and don't want to cut down my chances.

Hang in there. I think it is very neat that you are ttc a boy but it does take more patience. Have you been posting on the ttc a specific gender board too? Those girls may have some more tips for you.

DH and I were going to try for a boy too, but then I decided that it doesn't really matter to me, so we gave up on that. I've taken other suggestions from TTC a specific gender board, but we still BD whenever.

I agree with Patty, maybe instead of working only on timing, have you tried changing diet and that kind of thing to change your PH? That board has a lot of great tips!

Thanks girls..............I just took another OPK and it was negative too so I am pretty positive that I already O'd. I learned a good lesson - NEED to start taking the opk's at least on day 10 or 11.............but I didn't have any and the closest $ store that has them is 45 minutes away and I knew I was going to town on cd 13 so I started testing that day. On cd 13 the test line wasn't quite as dark as the control line so I thought I would be o'ing soon but nope, it was on the other side of o'ing I guess.

And yes, I do post on the TTC A specific gender board and we do a few things to sway.............I try to stick to the boy diet casually, did a baking soda douche (but I don't think I will do it again, maybe baking soda finger), have DH drink coffee an hour before bd'ing, etc.

Oh well I guess we're on to the next month. It just really stinks not even having a chance!
