Had a few questions

Hello ladies

. I am Jessi. I was poking around JM as I often do and looking for some help and this seemed like a good place to find some answers. I did check the faq section and think I have it straight but wanted to see. I hope no one minds. TMI warning

So last week Sep 30th I had some creamy cm. Note last month I didn't have anything I think my allergy medicine messed me up for checking but not sure. This month I am not taking it.
On Oct 2 (Fri) I had wet CM. Probably had some in the middle but these are my notes

.
Oct 3 more wet cm.
Oct 4 EWCM.
Oct 5 today it was sticky and gone for the most part.
We DTD Sat and Sun just in case. Normally I would think EWCM is the good get busy kind. But last month threw me off and I was sure we timed it right and then didn't. So now I am not sure if I am reading the signs right or not. I am starting to keep track of the CM better but I can't temp DH would have a fit. He was a little upset that I wanted to DTD while I am sick with a cold

but I convienced him LOL. Ok so what do you ladies think? Was the CM signs leading up to o time or am I miss reading the signs? Also I read that EWCM is supposed to be 2-5 days and I only had one but I had at least two days wet which is supposed to be fertile too. Oh I am just not sure. Well if you read all of this thanks bunches

. Also do you think we should try again tonight just in case?

A CM pattern can vary from woman to woman. It may be your norm to have just one day of EWCM with watery CM leading up to it. From what I know it sounds like you timed it right. Have you stopped by the Natural Family Planning board? They may have more advice for you that doesn't involve temping.

For what it's worth... I think you may be right that your allergy meds screwed things up a bit. Antihistamines dry up mucus, and they don't care whether the mucus is located in your nose or your... ahem... lower regions. So the meds may be why you only had one day of ewcm.

I think you did good. I am wondering why your dh would have a fit about temping? I know my dh thinks I am a little obsessive but he wouldn't be mad. I think I would just explain that temping is a really inexpensive way to track your fertility and that you would have more fun if you could temp.

As for the cm questions I think you timed things well. I don't ever make a lot of cm and usually have ewcm a few days before I ovulate and not always on the day that I ovulate. A good rule of thumb is to continue bding until you have been dry for 4 consecutive days. It is hard to say whether or not you will dry up before you ovulate or when you ovulate so I try to stay busy for a few extra days just to be sure.

. I do read things but never posted because I don't chart. DH wants this to be fun non stressful and doesn't want me buying opk's or anything like that. He thinks it will make it more like a job than the fun baby making it should be. If we didn't catch it this month though I might talk to him about it because obviously its not going to be as easy as it was the past three times.
