i look at other peoples charts and they all seem to have these absolutly perfect temps, with nice curves and dips and pretty patterns and just plain normal.
Mine on the other hand is sporatic and goes bumpidy bumpidy. I feel like im driving on the bumpy roads in the outback. I dont think i have ever seen a chart of mine with the 2 difinitive temps.
Um ??????

Don't feel bad, just look at my chart from the beginning of my chart.. lol, it was all wacky! I felt just like you most of the time and still kinda do. Good luck though, I hope you start to even out!

That rockiness could be due to the way you take your temperature but as long as there is enough stability to see the ovulation pattern it probably isn't too big a deal.

The only thing I could say to smooth it out other than the usual (making sure you take your temp at the same time everyday, on 4 or more hours of sleep, keep your sleep habits consistent, take it the instant you wake up, etc.) is that you could try temping vaginally. FF says that is a recommendation for ladies who have very rocky charts.

Hope it smooths out for you! We don't want you lost in the outback Watch out for kangaroos until you make it back to the smooth road.

Are you consistently taking your temp at the same time every day? That can make a big difference. And I agree with Jenine. You may want to try taking your temp vaginally and see if that helps.

My first few charts did not look pretty either. I have had my share of stinky looking charts so I know how you feel but I can see a shift on your chart and that is the important thing.

My chart is all out of wack too. I had food poisoning on that day I didn't have a temp and it just seems to be all sorts of crazy since then. I was .1 away from getting crosshairs the other day which would put me at 4dpo. Now I gotta wait until tomorrow to see what my temp does. But I am pretty sure I o'd the day I think I did (least I hope so cause we timed things pretty good). Anyways good luck to the both of us!!

LOL ill try not to get lost in the outback.. but Im pretty sure Im doing it all correctly. I take my temp at 5.30am every morning (there has only been very rarely that i take it later or earlier).
I think next cycle i may try temping vaginally. I just kinda feel weird about it. My husband already thinks im crazy for all the sticks i pee on... can you imagine his response when he rolls over and finds me temping vaginally?? lol.

Ya know, I thought my DH would think I had finally gone too far when he saw me putting a thermometer "there"... LOL! But he did end up being pretty cool about it and supports my doing it. He even tries to take the dog out for potty and things like that just so I dont have to disturb my resting temp. Good luck!

Are you taking your temp in the same spot in your mouth each time? That can make a difference as well. Don't feel bad if you just don't have pretty charts though. My BFP looked like the stock market.
