For me the hardest part for me to get was that you couldn't JUST use temps. When I first started charting I didn't understand the three over six rule (three sustained temps higher than your previous six temps to confirm ovulation). I would often pick the low temp before the big spike and think that was the day. Now I get that you have to look at all your fertile signs to pick your o date and I also understand that it is not an exact science and some charts you won't know for sure which day was the right day. I used to get totally preoccupied with knowing the exact day and now I just try to have a good idea of my o date.

Figuring out my cover line always gives me a bit of trouble. I'm so glad FF does it for me! HA HA!!!

The hardest part for me was learning the difference between a mucus bulid up that reaches Peak and one that doesn't. I have PCOS, so lots of "warm ups" to ovulation that don't actually result in ovulation.

I'm with Nikki, the coverline confuses me to no end! FF gave me one this last cycle and I still haven't the slightest clue where that number came from. Online charting is where I will stay so I don't have to try and figure it out myself!

The importance of timing. I couldn't understand how it was necessary to have at least 3 hours of sleep and aim for the same time each day until I had done it for awhile.

I still haven't a clue how to tell where or what my cervix is up to. I just skip that part! And I agree with the others who mentioned the coverline. No idea where that comes from, but thanks to FF I don't have to worry about it

Taking your temp at the same time.I had no problem in the begging and toward the end of the cycle I would wake up earlier than my alarm,at 20 minutes to 1 hour before.I took UniSom last night and it didn't help

I can't tell the difference between my cm (well, I haven't really attempted to try...so... ) and I have NO idea about cervical position. I haven't gone there either.
