My thermometer gave out midcycle, how much will it effect my temps ?

It depends on how close the new thermometer is to the one you have. I would try to buy the same type of thermometer if you can. It may affect your chart but there isn't a lot you can do. Just mark a note on your chart so you know when you switched thermometers.

I can't imagine having anything of mine last three years. I couldn't tell you how many thermometers I have bought in the last two years. And something is always going wrong with my chart on the most important days but some how I still manage to tell when I ovulate.
