OK, so as most people know, this cycle I had a miscarriage/chemical pregnancy. It was confirmed with my beta of 0.5 on last Wednesday. My question is that my temp today is the highest it has ever been.....is this normal? I haven't been temping lately, so I know I can't see the trend, but I just think it seems weird that my temp is so high? Just wondering if anyone has experience in this. I'm trying to get back into the temping routine to prepare for my next cycle (I haven't passed anything yet, so I have a call into my doctor's office about that).

I'm sorry for your loss, Jacque (((HUGS)))
If you have not had any bleeding yet I would think it is normal that your progesterone is still high since the drop off of that is usually at the same time as you begin to shed the uterine lining. I wouldn't expect to see your temps go down until a few days into your next cycle.
I'm no expert though, so hopefully some of the other ladies can weigh in on this.

Thanks for your input. I figured that might be the case. My doctor's office never called me back today so I will call them again tomorrow. I just want to be able to move on to the next cycle and try again as we are so anxious to be parents!

First, I'm sorry for your loss. When I had my chemical in September, my temps were still a little higher even after I started bleeding. It took a few days, even after I started bleeding, for my temp to come back down. I was even having major hot flashes because my hormones were so out of whack.

Can I ask how long it took for you to start bleeding? My beta was 0.5 on Wednesday and I still haven't started bleeding. I can't really find any info online about when this should happen (I'm sure it varies from woman to woman) and my doctor's office didn't call me back today. I thought I had cramps yesterday morning but they went away and no bleeding/spotting yet. When I had my chemical in June/July, I bled the day after my doctor's appointment, but I was further along this time, though only by a few days.

i'm really surprised you're not bleeding with a hcg of .5. Mine was over 15 when i found out I was miscarrying and bleeding started the next day. My temps after were strange and much higher than normal. Like the other ladies suggested i imagine its still your progesterone levels being up!
Good luck and hope you get some answers soon.

(((HUGS))) Teresa is going through the same thing right now. I would call your doctor's office back if you don't start bleeding on your own in the next week.
I just went and looked through a bunch of the miscarriage charts on FF and it looks like it is pretty normal to have higher temps after a miscarriage. My guess is your temps will drop when you start bleeding.
I am so sorry that you are going through all of this.

I think the other ladies are right that it will drop when you've started bleeding. I'm sorry I'm not much help. With my m/c, I didn't start taking temps again until a few days into my bleeding and then they were back down in the normalish range.

I know that I was bleeding when my levels were at 1, so like Kate said, I'm surprised that you're not bleeding yet too. I would give your doctor a call tomorrow to just double check with them to see what they think.

I hope your doctor has some help for you when you call today. Your levels were so low a week ago you should have started bleeding by now. You may need them to intervene a bit.
