there are quite a few studies saying that playing classical during pregnancy will stimulate the baby's brain and cause it to be more intelligent...but i don't know if i believe it.

i've been tracking my baby's development and according to my pregnancy calendar (that i created on the babymed website) now would be the developmental stage of the brain which should supposedly is stimulated by the music...has anyone tried this with their baby? and have you noticed any real results?

I played lots of music, talked and read to my babies. They both love to read or be read to and love music. I don't know if it helped them be smarter but they love those things so I will continue to do it.

I don't have any children of my own, but I will say when I worked in daycare, at nap time I always put classical music on for my kids. All the other teachers put the TV on sesame street or whatever.

I don't know whether it made them smarter or anything like that, but it definitely had an effect on them. My kids fell to sleep much easier and when they woke, they were much calmer and took direction much better.

I was raised with classical music... which I love. So it goes without saying that my children will be raised with it as well.
