Hi ladies! I used to frequent this board when I was TTC #1, who is now almost a year old. DH and I decided to start trying for #2 recently, but I also just stopped breastfeeding so I didn't know what to expect. I had my first AF on September 14th, but I didn't start charting because I assumed my cycle would be out of whack for a little bit and I planned to start charting on the next cycle. We DTD on Sept. 27th, 30th, and October 8th. I was expecting AF to be here by now, and had seen no sign of her, so I tested today and got a very very faint line. I'm thrilled, but completely shocked too! What doesn't make sense to me is which of those times we DTD would be "the one." Because the Sept. 30th would make me approx. 13DPO, which I would expect a darker line, but the Oct. 8th is only approx. 5DPO, which I wouldn't expect a line at all yet. I am quite confused. Can you help me???

Well it might not have been anyone of "those" dates per say. It could have been a date on either side. I got a faint pos at 14 dpo with my last one so it is possible. Congratulations!! Wishing you a happy and healthy nine months.

You have to remember that sperm can live up to five days in the right environment. You very well could only be 10 or 11 dpo even if you bd on the dates you said. It really is hard to know when you conceived since you weren't charting. Hopefully your doc will do an ultrasound to help you figure out how far along you are. I would just tell him you were breastfeeding and your periods were not regular so you aren't sure.
