Hey guys, as some of you know, I've been trying to track my BBT over the past two weeks. I started bbt-ing fairly late (day 9 of my cycle) and I usually get a cycle of around 26-30 days. I'm just really wondering if this kind of thing was normal. At first, it was just a standard V shape and I decided to wait it out a couple days. Then it became a U shape over the next week or so and I got my hopes up... But then today, it dropped again. Is this kind of thing normal at all? I'm so confused.

Hi. As frustrating as this is I think you are going to need to finish our your cycle to get a better idea of what is going on. To be honest, I am not sure what is going on. It will be easier to tell when you have a full cycle with all your pre ovulation temps in there.

I would also recommend using ovulation tests and adding your CM data to your chart to help you pin things down. It really helps to have more than just temps because sometimes you can have a confusing chart and the other data helps to sort things out.

Hang in there. You are doing a great job with this but the first couple cycles are needed to help you see your own patterns.

Your chart is not like any I have seen before! Not that there is anything wrong with it, just difficult to interpret given the limited information we have.

Keep on temping, try to be as consistent as possible with the times your do so and try to be mindful of your sleep habits, to try and ensure you are temping on a good solid 4 hours of sleep the same every day. Your chart doesn't really look to me like you're not temping consistently because it isn't jumping up and down...but you never know.

As Patti mentioned, I would also suggest maybe buying some OPKs. I get mine for pretty cheap off early pregnancy tests dot com, some of the other ladies have found good deals on ebay. And also checking your CM will help as Patti said.

Sorry I'm not more help with interpreting your chart! I keep looking at it every few days and thinking "now what?". I just haven't seen one like that!

Hope it becomes clearer soon
