This is my second month of charting. We are not going to TTC until December, but I just wanted to get an idea of what my cycles are like. My September cycle was really long (39 days) with ovulation on day 25. This month it looks like O occured on day 16. My temps are also way different (very high 98+ degrees) this month. Is this normal?! Thanks for looking!

100% normal. It's normal for the time of ovulation to vary from cycle to cycle. For some women, longer cycles with later ovulation is perfectly normal too. Have you recently discontinued a hormonal contraceptive? That can contribute to irregularity as well.

ITA. It is very normal. This month you had a very clear thermal shift. I was curious about the same thing. Did you recently come off of birth control?

I came off BCP in June, so July was my first cycle without. Could it still be taking my body this long to adjust? Thanks so much girls!!

Oh definitely. It can take up to 18 months to recover from the Pill completely. That's not to say you can't conceive during that time, it's possible! But it can be 18 months until all the effects are completely gone and the body has fully recovered (especially the cervical damage).

Okay, thanks! Hopefully it won't take that long...I was only on the pill for 5 months.

I have seen lots of girls get bfps right after going off the pill. Your first chart didn't show a strong thermal shift but your second chart looks much better. To me that shows your body is getting back on track.

Hopefully it won't be long before you get your bfp! Good luck!!

Hello!!!

You chart looks really good this month, nice thermal shift. You should totally have it down by the time you are TTC!

Thank you, girls, for your thoughts and advice. You have been so helpful. It is nice to know that my chart looks "normal" since this is so new to me. I will be sticking around...especially after December! In the meantime, I think I will just stalk all of your charts.

Thanks again!
