I bought a new thermometer today...I'm going to run my Walgreens one over with my car. Should I wait to temp with the new thermometer until my next cycle, or should I start with it tomorrow?? I'm pretty sure the Walgreens one is completely useless. I've had the same temp 3 times within a few days and when I just took my temp now it was 97.60 on the Walgreens and 98.2 on the new one.
Thoughts?

As much as I agree that the Walgreens thermometer sucks, I would probably finish up with it this cycle. I think your chart is probably not going to be so accurate anyway you look at it but I would problem just finish with the thermometer you have.
Of course, if you decide to switch I wouldn't blame you. I don't think it totally matters at this point. I would make sure you mark your chart when you switch if you switch this cycle.

I would LOVE to run yours over too!!
I got my new one from the pharmacy in town. I'm not sure exactly what the brand is...I think BD? It's kind of a light purple color. It's wayyy different from the CRAPPY Walgreens one. It beeps every 4 seconds so that you know it's reading correctly and it has a light up screen!! It was a whole 49 cents more than the walgreens (piece of crap) one was.
I think we should have a sticky warning new charters not to buy the Walgreens one.

The continually beeping is kind of sucky...but hey, if it actually works!!
Today I temped with both...my Walgreens one said 97.60 (no surprise there...I've had that temp 5 times I think this cycle??). The new one said 98.0. Hmmm...

Glad to know I wasnt the only one with issues with the dumb thing, big surprise for me too, gee got the same temp as I often do 97.73 seems to be popular choice on mine. I'm pretty sure I should have the new one before the new cycle begins for me. Hey just noticed you are in WI ? My DH & I are both originally from there, we live down in MS now & I dont miss that snow & cold at all !

Ugh, we had such cold weather for awhile...and RAIN. It sucked. Yesterday at least felt like fall for once! What area of WI were you from? I'm from around the Madison-ish area.

You can run over my Walgreen's BBT while you're at it! I have looong since stuck it in the drawer of my nightstand... NEVER to be used again. Those things have a LOVE AFFAIR with 97.73!! It's the strangest thing I've ever seen. I have thought about writing to Walgreen's and letting them know that there are a number of angry women who are TTC and their product is NOT helping! HA!!
It sucks too... I was so excited when I got it because it looked so much better than my little purple Rite Aid one... but it started giving me those whacked out temps, then I read other girls on here saying the exact same thing... what a waste of money! GRR!!!

I want that thermometer! The new one I have is better, but yours sounds so much cooler. Since you only have a few days left in your cycle I'd probably just wait to switch, but I don't know I might switch now and say the heck with it.

We are definitely Badger fans! We are actually taking Jeremy (he's 20 months old) to his 1st Badger football game on Saturday. Yes, I know, we are wayyy crazy to bring him to a game. We'll see how long we last.

I've decided to chart using the new thermometer, but I'm also temping with the walgreens one and jotting it in the notes section. I figured my temps are so screwed up already this cycle that it probably won't matter if I use it or don't use it.

I get all the same temps from my Walgreens one too, either 97.9 or 97.6, it seems like... Ugh! I am also thinking I should get a new one but I just figured that it would be kind of like when you weigh yourself on different scales, ya know what I mean? Even if you have a scale that isnt exactly accurate, if its the only one you use it should still show your changes right? Am I wrong? This was the logic I used when I decided to go ahead and use the piece of junk for this cycle even though last cycle I wanted a new one... Thoughts?

If you collected all those walgreens temps you could poke them around in your yard for halloween decorations ! (sorta like putting pink flamingos up all over -- sorry if you own any) Have a great time at the Badger game Saturday. I hope to see some of it, as long as it will be televised. I am FOR SURE subscribing to the big 10 network come basketball time though.
