I believe it was Teresa who had found a new use for the instead cups (to check cervical mucus).......well I bought some today at Walgreens and TMI but I put one in about a 1/2 hour ago and you can NOT feel anything at all! I will take it out in a few hours to check my CM since I don't feel like I make very much and I am also drinking some grapefruit juice as we speak

Just wanted to say that it was so easy to put in.......I was so nervous because I don't even know how to find my cervix or anything, but it was so simple and painless. I will definitely be using them after bd'ing and maybe even try it during my period (which I hope I won't have to do for like a year).

I've used them after BD'ing this cycle but I wouldn't have thought to use them to check CM. I may do that and see how it works!

Thanks for the update on how they are for you, I am so curious but have been pretty intimidated by trying them out. I think I definately want to get them now!

I was really intimidated at first too. It took me years before I would even try to use tampons. But these were super easy to use. I found them on sale at Walmart for like $6 and figured what the heck. They have a money back guarantee so I figured I would keep my receipt and if I didn't like them I would just send them back. But they're super easy to put in and very comfortable. I used them after BD'ing this cycle and I'm hoping they did the trick!

I bought them last month and will be using them this month after Bding. I used them once with my AF this month and was NOT a fan for that purpose but i think for using them during fertile time after BD they will be perfect!

Getting them in has never been a problem for me but getting them out has. When I first starting using them I got one stuck. I ended up having to have dh help me get it back out! Fortunately my dh isn't too squeamish with these things but I think he was annoyed. I have actually gotten a few stuck but I have gotten pretty good at getting them out myself now.

When I put one in I make sure I can still get my finger around the rim of the cup because I have found if I push it too far up it can be a pain in the butt to get back out.

If you do have a hard time getting it out squat and bear down like you are pushing out a baby or having a bowel movement. It helps to move it down. Also you can try using Preseed or some other lubricant if it gets stuck. Think of it like a ring getting stuck on your finger. Sometimes you just need help loosening it up.

I am glad you like them. They are one of my favorite fertility aids.

I don't like using them during AF either. I don't mind on a light day but on a heavy day they can be quite messy.

I've thought about trying these out a few times, but always change my mind because of them possibly getting stuck I think I'd freak out in that situation.. big wimp that I am.

Ok UPDATE!!!!!! LOVE them for checking CM. I just took it out and come to find out I have some AWESOME EWCM up there right now!!!! Which I never would have known by checking it on TP or even internally. So either I actually do make CM or the grapefruit juice worked fast!

It was very easy to get out but thankfully I iddn't read your post first Patty because I would probably have been freaking out I read that before that if you can't get it out, to bear down and it would move.

Anyways - I will definitely be using one tomorrow again to check CM and then tomorrow night after we bd.

I am so tickled that this worked for somebody else. I am glad I shared it. It really helped me a lot for identifying cm. I would have never realized how much stuff was up there. Now I try not to do it more than once a day because I don't want to remove all the good stuff up there by collecting it in a cup. I mean it kind of defeats the purpose of having EWCM if you scoop it all up and remove it from your body if you kwim.

i LOVE the instead softcups. hmm...i'll definately have to keep that in mind although i've used the softcups after dh&i bd so its mainly the mixture. cool i'm going to have to try that next cycle. i really don't produce to much CM so we use preseed.
