I just started my new cycle and my temp jumped up from 97.2 to 97.6 which is very weird. This happened during the first and second days within my period. I don't think this is normal because this was the height of my temp last luteal phase. O.o

Oh gosh I feel so bad for just now getting to your post. I wasn't feeling well yesterday and still am not feeling so hot today.

I was looking at your chart and I almost think you did ovulate on CD14. It seems to line up just right for having a 28 day cycle. I wish you had your preo temps in there because that would help.

As for your temp on CD2 that is really normal. A lot of people's temps are erratic during AF. They will probably start dropping down once you get closer to ovulating.

It's great that you are on a fresh cycle because I think things will be more clear for you this month. I would try to make sure that you keep track of your cm data this month and your cervical position if you can. I also think you may want to try using opks. But, at least make sure you put your cm data on your chart.

Thanks for replying and I do hope that you feel better soon.

Wouldn't it be weird if I did O on day 14 as so many of my temps would possibly be below coverline? Thanks for your time Patty.

I unfortunately won't be able to use OPKs to help along with the temp taking and when I inspect my CM, I really can't tell much of a difference so I left that out.

I think if you did ovulate on CD14 most likely your coverline was a little lower. It is hard to say though since you have so many missing preo temps. I think you will know more this cycle.

Why can't you use opks?

As for CM I would just do the best you can. If you notice an increase in cm consider that a sign you could be fertile, even if you can't tell what kind it is. You may not see much cm but you will feel wetter when you are ovulating.

I just don't have access to them as I'm living in an area pretty far from one that sells them. And I'm pretty scared of ordering online.

So just wetter in the morning or wetter in general?

Weird temps are totally normal during your period. I don't worry about any kind of CM except for EW, and it is pretty easy to spot. It is the only kind that is stretchy. It took me a few cycles to get the hang of that part, but once you do it is easy.
