AUUUUUGH!!

Okay, I was confused by my chart when I wasn't sure I'd ovulated. Then Fertility Friend settled on CD15 as my O date and gave me nice solid crosshairs.

Then my temp went up today, further confirming that yes, I *totally* ovulated. Except now, FF has changed my crosshairs to 3 days ago. Wednesday. Cycle Day 24.

No freakin' way!! Really?? I do not agree with that at all. I would say that if I did not ovulate on CD 15 or 17, then the next most likely date would be CD21, Sunday, because that's the last "low" point of my cycle. From that point on, it's been a steady rise.

Thoughts? Anyone? I'm a little emotional about this and am not convinced I want to chart next month.

I agree with FF on this one. I think your O date looks right where it is at. The only other O date that looks like it could be right to me is cd 11. How long are your cycles normally and are you coming off of bcp? Also, is this your first month charting? I'd be curious to hear others' thoughts on this one as you are right your chart is a little bit confusing.

I have not been on BC for 3 years. I do have PCOS, as mentioned in other threads. I should put that into my Bio, actually.

I used to chart, but stopped as it was making me really baby crazy (we weren't ready to start trying yet). CD11 would mean that I'm having a really really long luteal phase. So my charts are really old and in a file somewhere.

I think at this point I'll have to wait for AF to show up and then work backwards to see what a reasonable luteal phase ought to be and when I ought to have ovulated.

I posted to you earlier that I thought you could have o'd on CD17. I see a very clear shift on CD24 though so I can certainly see why FF has marked it as your o date. I think you will have a better idea of when you ovulated in a few more days. Just keep plugging along with your temping and try not to get discouraged.

I think your plan to count back your luteal phase is smart. I think you should definitely keep charting. It gets easier once you have done it a few cycles because you can see your body's patterns.

Thanks

I've completely removed my crosshairs and will put them back in when I can see more clearly what's going on.

I agree with Teresa and Patty. I think CD 24 is a really good contender. I'm sure things will become more clear within the next few days.

I totally encourage you to stick with charting though. I know it can seem frustrating at times in the beginning, but I think you'll be glad you did once you're a seasoned Pro!

It could be CD 24 but I'm just curious on how FF deals with Triphasic BBT charts. From my experience from browsing through search in FF (because somehow, I felt like I got a triphasic chart last cycle), it usually picks the higher jump as the O date. But looking at your chart, it seems like it did happen on the 24th. I'm no expert but I'm just looking at the chart and it seems unlikely that it was on the 15th due to the past temps being more or less higher than the 15th. I'm assuming 1-2 temps above the coverline would be normal but having around 6 (not counting your period) would raise eyebrows.

So CD24 was a strong contender, and I was not convinced.

Then my temp dipped really low yesterday, and I figured AF was coming and marked CD17 as my O date, simply because that seemed most likely (giving me a 16day luteal phase).

BUT, this morning, my temp went back UP.

So now.... I guess CD24 is most likely, just like everyone else and fertility friend HAD suggested. BUT, when I removed my override and let Fertility Friend guess what it thought was up, it moved my crosshairs BACK to CD15.

So..... WHAT THE HECK????
