I temped today 15 minutes earlier and plan tomorrow to temp another 15 minutes earlier and then the next day and the next day until I am to the new time. I forgot about the time change or I would have started adjusting earlier. I am just glad the time change didn't happen until after getting solid crosshairs.

Hey Teresa, I was wondering the same thing. I was planning on just setting my alarm for the same time as usual, only 1hr. earlier until the end of this cycle. I guess I should go to bed an hour earlier as well not to interupt my flow. Does this sound ok?

I don't think going to bed an hour earlier will help because my bed time varies a lot anyways. Fertility Friend says just take it at the same time and not worry about it, but I prefer to adjust slowly since I just got my crosshairs. If it were me I'd temp tomorrow a half hour earlier and then the next day back to your normal time then it should barely make a difference on your chart.

Lol, well that happens sometimes.

I was so proud of myself that I remembered before tomorrow. I always forget about the time change until the night of when somebody else tells me to fix my clocks.

Oh wow, I didn't think about this either! I guess I will just temp a half hour earlier tomorrow morning.

FF says just keep taking your temp at the same time despite the change in daylight savings. Source:

BBT and Daylight Saving Time

That said, I actually think what Teresa said might help the transition along better than having a sudden change in one go. A 1 hour change over 4 days will more or less be better than a 1 hour change over a single one.

I suck. I am such a dodo. I did it all backward! These time changes always screw me up. I was supposed to temp 15 minutes LATER yesterday not 15 minutes EARLIER. At 3:30 in the morning when I woke up because I really had to pee and looked at my clock and realized it was 4:30 I realized as usual that I got it backwards in my head. We aren't losing an hour, we're gaining an hour. Anyhow, I wound up just temping at 5am and saying screw it. At least tomorrow's temp will be a normal pattern. I am glad I already had crosshairs.

Taking Charge of Your Fertility recommends changing your temp time before and after to make your chart more accurate. I think it is a good idea but not something you have to do.

I totally forgot about Day Lights Savings time. In fact, my clocks would not have been changed had it not been for this thread. I just took my temp at the new time and made it an open circle. I am glad that I haven't gotten a positive opk yet because I think I will be adjusted to the new time by the time I ovulate.
