Did you start charting right away or did you try a more "relaxed" approach to ttc first?

Well we have been trying since last summer but had to break in the middle for my husband's deployment but it was basically just being off the pill and stuff like that before and for a while after... He liked the whole "let it happen when it happens" but as I was having super long cycles he started being more open to me doing and trying other things. So basically I had to let him come around and now I do it all and then some! This is my second chart... It definitely makes me feel a tad bit crazy at times but I am addicted and love it!

I actually started temping before we started actively TTC. I didn't add all the other aspects of charting in until we were full on TTC.

With Alex we tried for 2 years, before I started charting my temps or doing OPK's. This time around I went straight to charting my temps and usiing OPK's, we're on our 3rd cycle of TTC#2.

I didn't start temping until September 09. I kept hoping that I would get a bfp and not need to temp.

With my DD we were NTNP for about 4 mos, while I was still in the all I need to do is get of BC and I'll be pregnant frame of mind. Started charting in Nov, added OPKs in Feb and got my BFP on my March cycle.
This time I started charting and OPKs right away. My cycles are pretty predictable and I could probably just go off of CM and O pains but charting gives me a sense of control in a situation that's not always in your control, KWIM?

We have been trying for 3 months now, no luck. So, I am planning on temp/charting this month and see how it goes!

We had been NTNP for 14 months before I started charting. When I was experiencing my 2nd chemical pregnancy I found JM and started temping 3 days after I joined JM.

We were not trying with our first two girls. Wedecided to try for numb 3 in July, but had to wait for first af since my dd weaned. Took a monthto get af then got pg right away. Miscarried at six weeks and have yet to get af back so I just started loyally charting last week. I've dabbed in it here and there and used opks last cycle.

This time around I started charting as part of Natural Family Planning, so I charted for several cycles before TTC.
Last time I was TTC before I started charting.

With my girls I never charted or used opk's.............this time we really are trying for a boy so I started charting about 3 months before we actively started TTC so that I could pinpoint when I was ovulating........I had read that a woman usually ovulates on the same day every month.......well let me tell you that is HOGWASH!!!
Oh well, with charting and OPK's we can make sure we are only bd'ing the day before and the day of O to hopefully sway for a boy. If not, we'll have 3 girls and be happy too!

I never charted with my other kids. I did try to chart and I also tried using OPKs when we were ttc Jeremy but I didn't understand what I was doing at all. They didn't have the internet everywhere back then like they do now. I think getting advice from other charters really makes a difference.
When we started ttc number five I didn't chart the first cycle. But, then I wanted to be one of the cool charters and I wanted to be able to stalk my chart during the 2ww so I started charting. The first chart I had looked anovulatory to me so I just quit charting. I started thinking charting was stupid, or it didn't work for everyone, or I was too dumb to do it. I don't know but I stopped midcycle. I think I did ovulate but was just didn't see it through. The next cycle charting we got pregnant. That is when I lost my tube and we have been charting (off and on) ever since.
