I know we have some lurkers. We would love to get some new charters on the board. If you are lurking and thinking about charting, I challenge you to go buy a bbt thermometer. They are not much money and one of the cheapest ways to track your fertility.
You can buy one at most drug stores and if you can't find them at the drug store you can purchase one at early-pregnancy-tests.com or amazon.com.
Please if you buy a bbt come tell us about it! We want to see some new charters over here!

I'll admit...I lurk over here a lot! I have promised myself that if I don't get the BFP this month...I'm going to buy a BBT. I'm currently on CD22, and I got a + OPK on CD16 (only + for one day), so I'm not really sure when I OV'd. I hope to be joining you all soon...kinda, lol!

I just ordered a bbt thermometer online, with shipping it was only $11.92 from Early-pregnancy. I'm fixing to go see how the charting deal works! Should be interesting. Normally how many months does it take to get used to reading a chart?

Most girls get the hang of it pretty quickly. Fertility Friend marks your o date for you so it's not like you have to understand it all. You can just put your temps in and see what happens. If you have a really clear thermal shift on your chart you should be able to see when you ovulated really easily. Not everyone has easy to read charts though so you'll have to see how it goes.
Glad to have you joining us!

I added my chart last week. I finally remembered to actually take my temp starting yesterday. haha.
I wonder if it will help me at all. I hope it does! Is it bad that I didn't start on CD1?!

No, you don't have to start on CD1. It is good if you do but a lot of gals don't temp during AF.
I am going to get the chart sticky updated this weekend. Can't wait to see your chart!

I just bought one yesterday! I actually had to stop at 6 different stores. Walmart-out CVS-didn't carry them Walgreens-didn't carry them (weird I know) Target #1- OUT none in back Target #2- OUT none in back FINALLY Target #3- Last one!! It was just over $8 at target. Must be alot of women TTC or random people picking a BBT instead of a regular one. Anyone have the Target brand?? what do you think of it? Good quality or crap??
Anyways I am just learning how to do the temp. thingy and I couldn't sleep for the life of my last night. I have been very stressed lately with problems from my side of the family, DH leaving for the weekend...and maybe just alittle excitement about using my thermometer for the first time. Should the temp be disgarded if I didn't get good sleep??

I have the same problem where I live. I can never find bbt thermometers. I almost always order mine online.
I would use your temp but I would just mark it with an open circle. If you are using Fertility Friend you will see a section where you enter your data that says specific situations. Check the box that says sleep deprived. It will make your temp an open circle. This way when you read your chart you know that that temp may not be accurate.
Glad to have you on the charting board! I can't wait to stalk your chart!

Yayyy so at least someone can tell me what Im doing wrong! I will start charting on my last period. I just finished mine. My cycle has finally balanced itself to 28 days. I was on BCP for like 4 years and my periods still were weird but now I think they are okay. Just have bad cramping for 2 days.
