Is this common?

For the past few months I have been keeping track of my cm's and I have noticed that I usually get multi ewmc's during the same cycle. I have already O'd on or around October 22th. I have regular 26 day cycles and they are always on time. LOL ok now thinking about this I have a few questions...

* Do you or can you get ewmc when you are close to your AF? maybe this is why I am getting ewmc's now.

* Can you ovulate more then once in a cycle. Or possible for your ovaries to release more then 1 egg at different times in your cycle.

*Could it be possible to Ovulate right before your AF? I know your AF comes because the egg wasnt able to become fertilized but is there a certin amount of time your body has to wait after ovulation to have an AF? or it just comes when its time to come even if you ovulated or not

Here are some answers to your questions.

Yes you can have more than one patch of ewcm throughout your cycle. Here is a link on JM that you might find helpful.
EWCM (Egg White Cervical Mucous) After Ovulation

No, this is not possible. (Well technically it can happen but it is EXTREMELY rare.) If you were to release two eggs as in what happens with fraternal twins it happens pretty close together, like within the same day. I don't have stats on fraternal twins but the short answer to this is no.

It is possible to ovulate right before your expected AF. This is what happens when your ovulation is delayed. If this were to happen your AF would also be delayed.

To answer your question the amount of time from ovulation until your AF starts is pretty precise (this is why they call it the two week wait). For most women the time from ovulation to AF (the luteal phase of your cycle) is around 14 days but anywhere from 10 -16 days is normal.

If you are not ovulating there is a good chance that you won't be getting AF. Girls with irregular or really long cycles often ovulate really late or don't ovulate at all.

You can have an anovulatory cycle and still get AF. I would need to do more research to explain this properly but you can have AF even if you aren't ovulating. But, you may not actually be having a real period. It may be breakthrough bleeding that appears to be a period.

If you are having a regular period you are most likely ovulating.

LOL I was thinking that ewmc only came when you are ovulating/fertile thats why I asked.

This is what I found out on the internet about ovulating more then once in the same cycle...

"Double Ovulation - We used to think that twins were either fraternal or identical. However, with more advances in genetic testing, scientists are learning that there are perhaps more possibilities for twinning (and, therefore, ovulating twice in one cycle) In general, fraternal twins are the result of two eggs released within the same 24 hour period and then fertilized by two different sperm. However, in superfetation, a mother releases one egg, gets pregnant, and then releases another egg in a different cycle--her cycle not stopping during pregnancy the beginning of pregnancy. If both eggs are fertilized, this results in twins that have different gestational ages. It has been reported to have occurred, but is extremely rare.

Superfecundation- Superfecundation is the technical term for twins who have two different fathers. In this case, a woman released two eggs and then had sex with two different men, each of whom had sperm that fertilized one egg. Superfecundation is rare, mostly because most people do not have sex with multiple partners during a twenty-four hour period."

So I guess techincally you can ovulate more then once in a cycle but it happens within that 24 hour time frame BUT your body will not ovulate again after that 24 hours until AF. So on day 14 when you ovulate there is no way on day 22 you'd ovulate again.
