Hi Ladies,

I started charting over a year ago with a BBT thermometer I purchased at Walmart (pink and white.) It was relatively consistent up until this past month (maybe the battery?), which prompted me to replace it with one from CVS (light and dark purple CVS brand.) I started using the new one at the start of this cycle, and it seems like every 4 days I see a temperature jump, then it drops again. 4 days later, another jump. It's CD 23 and it appears that I still haven't ovulated, which has me wondering what is going on. I have a long cycle, but don't recall ever ovulating this late. Being realistic, though, I have to keep in mind that I started a new job a couple weeks ago and I've been quite busy lately-- maybe that has something to do with delayed ovulation-- who knows?

My question for you all is this: What kind of thermometer would you recommend to be the most accurate? I'm frustrated with mine and would appreciate some input from you all.
Thanks!

Can you post a link to your chart? I have never heard any complaints about CVS thermometers. IF you normally have a 33 day cycle I don't think it would be unheard of to ovulate on CD23 or later, especially if you have been under stress. I would like to look at your chart though.

My favorite has always been the pink and white target brand, but that really all i've tried. Your issue might not be the thermometer, the issue might be your mouth. Have you ever considered temping vaginally? I never was able to see a pattern until I started doing that.

My chart is linked on the lilypie ticker in my siggy, Patty. I've been total crap at charting much of anything this month-- between the time change and being horribly busy, I'm all out of whack.

And that's a good point, Alice... I think I'm going to start doing that. I know for a fact that I sleep with my mouth open when I'm super tired. I'll bet that has something to do with it.

Thanks, gals!
