I had my son almost 4 months ago, and have not had a PP period. I was on the mini pill (I bf 90% time) but I stopped it a month ago because it made me crazy. A couple days ago I was feeling like I wet myself, and when I went to the bathroom, I had a TON of cervical mucus that was tinged with pink and light brown blood. I still have quite a bit of discharge still. This has never happened to me, and I really have no idea what is going on with my body since having my son. Am I just ovulating?

It could be a couple things. It could be ovulation, it could be implantation, or it could be a sign that your AF is on the way. I had similar CM a few times, about 3 weeks before my first PPAF came. Maybe the brown stuff is still leftover from the placenta. I dunno. Have you taken a pregnancy test?

I spotted for a couple days after I stopped the mini pill a month ago, and I tested to make sure it wasn't implantation bleeding. DH and I had protected sex every time but once, on the 6th. The huge amount of cm started yesterday, and I still have quite a bit of tinged cm every time I wipe. I figured I would test in 10 days or so.

I used to chart my basal temps, but I get up quite a few times at night to breast feed, so my reading would not be accurate. I think I'm going to get some opk's and try to see when I am ovulating.

It sounds like your body may be trying to ovulate.

Are you still breastfeeding? I wasn't sure I understood your post.

I went on the mini pill when after I had one of my kids (can't remember which one) and I went off it pretty quickly. I had spotting right after I went off it but then I didn't have another period for months. I normally don't have a period while I am bfing. With most of my kids it was a year or more before AF returned.

But, I think what you are describing sure sounds like your body is trying to ovulate so that could be what is going on.

My first postpartum AF after Lyndsey was just like a day or maybe two of spotting.
