This will probably be my last time charting for a while.

For one thing, my VIP FF account is expiring and I don't feel like renewing it. In the past, charting has been very educational and I've learned a lot about my body and my cycles.

But with my new job, I've started working nights (11pm - 7am) and my seep is so erratic now that temping really isn't doing me a lick of good. Also, BF and I have taken the plunge and are buying a house together so with the added stress of all that on top of lack of sleep, I forget to keep track of stuff most of the time.

So I'm hoping that with my mind off of TTC for a while, I'll relax more and maybe there is something to the saying that you should quit trying in order to get pregnant. If not, I should be getting my health insurance in Jan and we're going to look into maybe seeing a doctor to get us checked out and see if there's any problems.

HOWEVER, having said all that, this cycle has me totally confused (of course it could just be all the stress/new work shift).

This cycle started out normal enough. 4 days of moderate/light AF followed by 2 days of spotting which has been pretty par for the course since going off b/c. I was on day shift for all of that and I went to nights on CD8/9 and start getting watery cm at that time.

I only had 4 OPK's left so I didn't try one until CD12 and there was a definite test line, but it wasn't anywhere near as dark as the control line.

CD13 did another OPK and the test line was there, but lighter than on CD12. Also that evening I had kind of sticky/slightly EWCM (didn't have a really good stretch to it).

But the thing that has me the most confused is I had spotting on CD13. In all my cycles since coming off b/c I've had spotting before/after AF (2 days each) and a couple times had extremely light spotting in the 2ww. Never before my expected O date, though. But on CD13 (in theory, I'm not supposed to O until CD17), I had very definite pinkish tan spotting when I wiped. To the point that I thought this was going to be a freakishly short, anovulatory cycle and I was getting ready to start AF. I also had some mild cramping. It continued all that night (I work nights, remember) and finally stopped early this morning and I haven't had any more all day.

The realist in me says that this cycle is just all out of whack because of my job/stress/lack of sleep and nothing means anything.

But the optimist in me says that the job/stress maybe caused me to O extremely early (CD7 maybe - FF says "Your chart data does not allow ovulation to be pinpointed to within a 24 hour time frame.
Your temperature suggests, however, that ovulation may have occurred between CD 7 and CD 12.") and maybe that was implantation.

Any thoughts?

I'm not sure about your current chart, but i encourage you not to give up charting. You don't need VIP status to chart on FF. I've only ever used the free version. I also work nights 11-7 and sometimes 7-7. My sleep is erratic, but i've learned that by temping vaginally any time i get 3 or more hours of sleep, i still get a pretty good pattern. OPKs definatley help though. Good luck!

ETA- my temps got higher and o was later when working nights

With all the stress of buying the house & such, though, charting is almost the last thing on my mind right now. I might start again once things settle down, though.

Also, my temp today, after 8hrs of sleep was 97.9 which is well above my normal pre-O temp so I really do think I did already O. The question is just when?

I think you may have o'd too. I looked at all your previous charts and your preo temps are never this high. The spotting may have been from ovulation spotting. Your chart is definitely interesting!

I can't decide when you o'd either. You are missing temps and have open circles so it makes it really hard to say. I would go with your last day of fertile cm as a guide and say you may have o'd around CD13. But really I guess time will tell.

I agree with Alice. I think you should continue charting. Take some time off if you need it but don't quit.
