Well yesterday we were "busy" but I wouldn't really call it busy. Dh bought a truck from this auction site. It is a 1970ish Chevy truck (sorry not a truck person). So he needed me to drive him there to get it (about an hour away). Then we sat there for close to two hours (with all the kids in the car) while he waited in line and got all his stuff. So then we drive home. I was supposed to stay behind him but instead I got a little ahead of him. He called me and said the truck almost died on him and he thought it needed gas. The gas gauge still showed there was gas in it but since it is an older vehicle it probably didn't have as much for a reserve tank.
Well I pull off and then I get another call saying it died and him and Angie were walking down the exit ramp. So that was fun. They hoofed it down the exit ramp and met us at the park and ride that was really close by. So we drive back up and put gas in it. A police officer stopped to help. And the thing started up. Fortunately it was just out of gas and not a mechanical issue which would have sucked.
But needless to say, this took up most of my day yesterday. Today I am trying to catch up on the boards and maybe I will motivate myself to clean the house.

Ooh, Patty, that does not sound like a fun day!
Yesterday DS and I went to the farmer's market. It was my 1st time going, and I picked a good day, because it was the last day until spring. And it was a gorgeous day out, so that was nice. And then since we are moving Thanksgiving weekend, I went through all of my clothes and decided what to throw away and what to try to sell at our garage sale next weekend. And then once DH got home we went through shoes and the rest of the things in our closet, our books and our DVDs/video games until nearly 10:30. Definitely a busy day. And today my plan is to go through DS's toys, kitchen stuff and junk drawers and hopefully price most of the stuff we decided to try to sell. I haven't started yet though. Sigh.

We've been pretty lazy so far. Dh went and talked to our insurance guy yesterday and I stayed home. All I've done so far is crafts. I made a whole bunch of pretty Christmas tree ornament hooks. We don't have much to do today either. I might do some baking. I thought of an interesting new recipe idea and I want to try it.

Friday night I let myself relax after parent/teacher conferences. Yesterday J and I hung out all day while DH was at work and during naptime I worked on a grad school paper. I spent nearly all of this morning working on (and finishing!!) my paper. I'm cleaning now (can you tell?? LOL) and later this afternoon we're going to see Sesame Street Live!

Friday night we took my MIL out for her birthday dinner. Saturday was busy with lots of different little things -- went to the mall with DH Saturday night and then watched the last three episodes of "Mad Men". I've been trying to grade papers today but I keep getting distracted by my laptop.

Patty I had a similar day. I convinced my parents to buy my car from me as I have been driving Dh's car for 6 months now and we have no need for 3 cars between the two of us. So we have been planning and planning to bring it to them and yesterday was finally a good day. Well, it has been sitting for so long that it was TOTALLY dead...not even the automatic locks would work. So then i remember that it has like NO gas in it. So we go to get a gas can and get gas and get home and the stupid gas can can only pour like half of the 5 gallons we bought in there b/c we didn't get a funnel. Now you would think that if they were gonna sell a gas can you wouldn't have to get extra parts, but apparently you do. That in itself was fun b/c it kept overflowing and I had to hold the gas flap thing open with a pencil so DH could pour the gas in...it was truly hilarious. So we get enough of the gas in it to get it to a gas station so we jump it and go fill it up. Then we had a jump it again once we got the gas, then we went back home and just left it running while i got the dog and registration, insurance, etc for it. So we FINALLY got it up there about 3 hours after we started our journey!! It was quite an adventure. But its there, and cleaned up and looks beautiful now!
Today i decided to take it easy, even though i'm doing some homework!

I've had a busy weekend. Friday night I don't remember what I did. Yesterday I cleaned the microwave out, cleaned the oven, pulled the oven away from the wall and cleaned behind it, cleaned the outside of the fridge and did laundry. DH cleaned the bathrooms and vaccummed and mopped the floors...umm...Then last night we went to my work's Christmas party, so the In-laws came over to babysit. Today I did more laundry and cleaned the inside of the fridge out. DH cleaned the hot tub and washed the vehicles. Then we went to Walmart, and then went grocery shopping. Now DH is feeding Alex, and I'm catching up on JM while I wait for laundry to get dry. Ugh...what a busy weekend.
Next weekend we're going out to dinner with DH's coworker and his wife. And I plan on cleaning/dusting the window blinds and we need to start baby-proofing the house. And we're going to go Christmas Shopping. Weekend after that is Thanksgiving (at my house), next weekend is Inventory at work which takes up all Friday night and most of Saturday and it's my birthday that day. I'm pretty busy for like a full month.
