I should know the answer to this, but I've just never had this kind of CM this early. I don't normally get this until after I O. So, I'm CD 12 right now. Normally, I don't O until later, so if I O'd now, it would be early. Yesterday and today, I've had quite a bit of CM. While it was stretchy today, it looked pretty lotiony (if that makes sense). I should be marking it as Creamy right? I'm just making sure I'm right. I haven't started taking OPK's yet so I don't know if I'm even close to Oing. I'm just confused because I normally don't have this kind of CM until after I O. Just trying to make sense of all of this. I would hate to miss O time.

There's nothing worse that confusing cm lol. A good way to check is to get a glob of your cm and place it in water, if it stays together in a ball it is ewcm, if it disperses count it as creamy cm. Other than that test I'm not sure what to tell you, but stretchy is a really good sign. I'd get to peeing on those opk's soon if I was you

I think it is probably creamy cm but it could still be fertile cm if it is stretchy. I used to get creamy cm before I would get ewcm (when I was younger) so it could be a good sign that you are getting closer to ovulation. I don't get a whole lot of any type of cm these days. I usually only notice ewcm and it usually shows a few days before I ovulate.

Creamy CM is potentially fertile when it occurs before O. It can be sticky or cloudy or creamy at the beginning of the fertile phase and becomes more clear the closer ovulation comes. Every cycle is unique, so don't worry too much about when you've ovulated in the past. It's perfectly normal for the time of ovulation to vary from cycle to cycle.
