If you have what were your reasons?

I have done the whole NTNP bit before. I think I needed a break from ttc and just didn't want to think about it for a while. It was nice for recharging my batteries but I don't think I will be taking a break again for a while, well unless I get my bfp. LOL.

It doesn't stress me out to chart so I don't think I will stop doing it until I get a BFP.

I've been charting since July, and while I'm used to it now, I'm really tired of it. Having to take my temp every morning is just a constant reminder that I'm not pregnant. And, no, there's no break until there's a BFP.

Well, I think that I'm there right now. I'm really tempted with not taking OPK's this cycle. I also just mentioned to DH about taking a break from charting for now. I'm just worn out. While I still want to TTC, I think that a little break might take some stress out of it.

I don't know, we'll see. I always wake up in the morning with anticipation of what my temp will be. I've even dreamed about it, a little break would probably do me good.

I am taking a break right now. I didn't temp or use opks this month b/c I was in a really bad place mentally last month when AF showed. I decided just to leave it in God's hands for awhile, at least until I feel like I can handle it. I am still taking note of my cm and bding at all the right times, but not temping has made me think about it A LOT less this month. I feel pretty good. I miss knowing exactly what is going on with my body, and I have a lot less to say around here, but I still love to stalk everyone else's charts and see all those bfps! I will do this for a couple months and then go back to temping when I feel ready.

I have taken breaks before to try the NTNP, less stressful route. I was so much more stressed out that way that I won't be taking any more breaks unless I am pregnant.

I get tired of it, but I think if I stopped it would stress me out more. If I miss a day or 2 though, I don't really care (well unless it's around O time!).

I think about it... but don't think I actually could! I'd hate not knowing anything and just having it all be a guessing game

I don't know. Sometimes I want to stop, sometimes I don't. I think I would like it more if I had a regular cycle and could actually see (and therefore follow) the pattern. But with my cycles being what they are, it's frustrating to see just. how. long. each cycle is lasting. At the same time though, I don't want to quit because it's been SO long that I want to see it in black and white when it's time to start a new cycle. And of course when I do start a new cycle, the hope that things will finally be straightened out with my body keep me going again. LOL

I'm def not taking a break from TTC, but the last month (and this next one), I am taking a break from charting. It was doctors orders...he said it was too stressful, and to be honest, if I didn't have so much going on last month, I probably wouldn't have listened

But with starting a new job, and being on the road for 2 weeks, I just didn't have it in me to worry about charting, too. And you know what?

It was awesome. I MISS charting, but at the same time, it was so nice to have a little break!

I'll go back to it in the next month or two, when my life settles down a bit, but it's been a refreshing break!

When we were TTC #1, I didn't chart right away. We were NTNP for a few months and then all out trying but it wasn't until the 6th cycle that I started charting and then we conceived on cycle #7, after 6months of trying or at least NTNP.

This time around, we are just starting the first cycle we will be TTC (have been NTNP since our son was born, but didn't have AF so didn't expect anything.) The thing I like about charting is, it kind of lets me down easy. My temp always drops the day befoe AF, so I know she's coming and it's not such a blow. I also like being able to know exactly what's going on with my body. I don't think I'll stop until I get pregnant.

yes, i thought about stop TTC #2 in general because i'm just sick of the disappointments of AF showing up each cyle and then first part of my cycle i'm confident this is it and then the second part not as confident. But DH tells me, we aren't going to stop trying. lol

I have gotten frustrated and wanted to give it all up, but I've never actually seriously contemplated taking a break from charting... I'd be too stressed.

NO !

When I first started to TTC I was excited every time that AF took over a month to show up, and every time it was a BFN. When I started charting I realized my cycle is not consistant so I need to know when I ovulated so that I don't get my hopes up so often. I don't that I will ever go without charting

I plan to chart to avoid (so hopefully I do a good job of it lol) until we TTC. I don't anticipate taking a break unless we go on vacation or something.
Last time I charted while WTTC and then TTC with no break.
