I have to admit, it's been fun charting my temps this cycle. However, I've stressed out about my pre-O temps a bit. I can't help it.

I think today is the big O -- I got my positive OPK yesterday (twice) and I've had watery CM for the past couple of days (yesterday may have been EWCM -- I'm still trying to figure out the difference). BD'd three times in the past four days with more scheduled for later.

Anyway, I know I have to temp for the next few days to make sure I've had my thermal shift (3 days will tell you that, right??). After that, how much longer do I have to keep temping for this cycle? Here's my worry -- I'll obsess about every little fluctuation in temperature. And you can all tell me not to worry about things, but I'll worry (I do it and I do it well!). It's bad enough that I'll be overanalyzing every little twinge and abnormal feeling for the next couple of weeks. I don't want to spend the next couple of weeks on an even worse roller coaster because my temps were slightly lower or I woke up too early or didn't get the three straight hours of sleep before I took my temp.

So, do I get to take a temping time out?????

I think you would be safe to stop as soon as you see the clear, steady thermal shift, so around 3DPO. Good luck!

I love temping in the 2ww so I probably wouldn't stop temping. It gives me a clue if I have a bfp chart or not. BUT, if you really want to stop I would wait till you are 4 or 5 days past o just to be on the safe side. I honestly think you should stick with it since this is your first cycle charting. That way you can see if you have a normal luteal phase and what your post o pattern is.

At the very least, keep up with charting your cm.

I'm with Patty on this one, most women assume they have a 14 day LP because we are pretty much taught that all women have 28 day cycles and O on CD14, my first cycle temping properly I learned my LP was 10 days that cycle so I took Vitamin B6 and the next month it was 13 days... just gives you some useful info

Hmmm....I hadn't thought about that....

Good point. I don't actually know how long my LP is. I've spent the last three cycles concerned about O'ing.

Dang it!!! I thought I was off the hook! Can you have post-O fluctuations and still be pregnant? Not little fluctuations, but bigger ones -- the first half of my chart is quite jagged.

I must not worry. I must not worry. I must not worry. I must not worry.
