I am 8 DPO today. I have been really positive about TTC this month. My temps have been looking good until this morning. I hope this isn't a repeat of last month (I only made it 8 DPO before AF). I have cramping and bloating and little bachache, all making me feel like it is AF, but I am trying to remain hopeful. Anyone have a dip like mine and then had it go back up? I guess I will either get AF today or tomorrow of my temp today was a fluke and will go back up... I REALLY HOPE so.

So hard to remain positive.. and we have only been TTC for seven months. I really feel for everyone that has been TTC for years...you deserve (((HUGS)))).

Well, I just had a huge dip at 9 DPO a few days ago, and it did go back up! It didn't go up as high as I would have liked, but at least it was above my coverline! So maybe yours will go back up too! I hope so!

I hesitate to say this because I don't want to get your hopes up for no reason, but 8-10 DPO is prime time for an implantation dip to occur. Not everyone gets an implantation dip, but it can happen!

I have seen lots of temp dips at 8dpo that have gone back up. I think that is very possible but I also see why you are concerned. Your luteal phase is pretty short. Have you considered taking B6 to help lengthen your luteal phase? A lot of girls take it and it might help to make your luteal phase a little longer. I believe you need to take around 100 mg daily to see improvement.

If your luteal phase is really short like it was last cycle I would definitely give it a try.

I also think that this could be a good sign. It just all depends on what tomorrow's temp looks like.

While it is perfect timing for a implantation dip, it seems you have a history of short LPs. It might be a good idea to see your doctor, to see if there's anything they can do for a luteal phase defect. I had a short LP, and it turned out I had low progesterone caused my immature eggs caused by polycystic ovaries. HTH

Hope it's a good sign for you!

I had a short LP for about 6 months after stopping birth control pills. My shortest one was 7 days, but eventually it evened out to 13 days. I'd suggest the B6 like Patty said, though, for sure. I've heard such good things about it.

I'm not sure if I am. I have been having spotting the past few days on and off, and my temp has gone down again, so I was pretty much just waiting for AF to show her ugly face.

Thanks for asking, though!

My temp went back up today, but not a lot. I still have cramping and spotting. Not sure what is going on. I think it is AF, but I am still trying to hold out hope.

I talked to by OB about the short LP and he said to keep charting (been trying 6 months, but this is only my second month charting). He doesn't want to test anything or give me anything until it has been a year. I wish I had another doctor who was a little more understanding of my concerns. I have been trying to get into another practice, but people in my plan are only taking new patients that are pregnant (what a kick in the gutt that is).

It's a good sign that your temp went back up even a little. Mine just keeps going down when AF is on the way.

If you do have a short LP, I would definitely try taking Vitamin B6. And hopefully you can find a doctor who will listen to you! That's frustrating!

Good luck with this cycle! keeping my fingers crossed for you!
