Hi. I'm hoping you can reassure me whether I ovulated on CD12 or CD14.

My chart says and looks definite for CD12.....but.....I had some bad news the day before that and the day of and was really upset and crying CD12-Cd13 and I wondered if maybe I didn't ovulate until CD14?

I got that dip and a +opk CD12 but my temps for CD13 and CD14 are not really in my usual post-ov range. I felt a cramp CD14. Was too upset to tell if I had any before that day? My boobs started feeling very slightly sore Cd15 (fri) but not very sore until CD17 (sun) and are very sore now! Last cycle I O'd CD13 and didn't realise (I was on hols and usually my O is CD19) until my boobs started hurting and that was 5dpo? So that would match with CD12 ovulation?

My chart
1ed85b Ovulation Charts

The reason its so important is cos I usually ovulate late (CD19) and have a too short luteal phase of 7-9 days. I had progesterone the last two cycles to extend it but the docs want me to 'go natural' for a few cycles now...however I am on 10dpo today ON MY OWN, no meds! But, of course, if I ovulated CD14 I am only really 8dpo
I thought maybe the progesterone gave my body the boost it needed to remind it to make its own? Maybe?

Hi. Im Jolene. 31 years old. I suffered three years of a short luteal phase and didnt think I could get pregnant again without medical assistance but fell pregnant by accident and naturally. I am really happy and excited to be having a baby although knowing Im going it alone this time is a bit daunting and scary!

CD12 looks right to me. It is hard for me to say for sure with you missing some of your preo temps. I think it is possible it could be CD14 but I am more inclined to go with CD12.

I don't know how taking progesterone affects the cycles after taking it. It could help but I am just not sure.

Well, looks like AF started today

Puts my LP at the usual 9 days (or 7 for a CD14 ovulation). Either way I am sad cos I needed to get to at least 10 days (ie Af tomorrow) to think something was changing with my defected cycle. *sigh*

(((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))

Have you tried taking vitamin B6? It is supposed to really help to lengthen your luteal phase. I have heard really good things about it.

Yeah. I've tried loads of things. I took B6 (200mg) for about 8mths then had a break. I took it again, on and off, this cycle too and thought I might try all cycle again this cycle.

Am also waiting for something called Maca Root to try when it arrives in the post too! :/
