I have been checking my cp, cm and using opk's but I just recently started temping. I had a positive ovulation test on Nov.22.

Hopefully temping can help me pinpoint when I actually ovulate.

My temps have been almost identical for the whole week and then this morning it went down. What causes your temp to go down, I am either 6dpo or 7dpo. as of today "Sunday". I have my chart in my signature. I know there is really not much to go by on there, but is it normal for it to drop down?
Sorry for all the questions.

First off, welcome to the board.

I noticed you have a lot of consistent temperatures. May I ask what thermometer in particular you're using for charting?

Temp drops can happen or different reasons. Maybe your temperature on the 19th was just a fluke, so who knows. You should have a better chance understanding when you get more dates up. Good luck.

Hey girl! It's nice to see you over here! This board is usually pretty active...it's been slow the last week but I'm sure that'll change just as soon as everyone recovers fully from Thanksgiving. I too am curious about what thermometer you are using. Let us know!

Welcome to the board! Since you started a little late in your cycle it is going to be hard to tell for sure what is going on.

I am not positive if you ovulated when your chart is marked because of the missing preo temps and the fact that it looks like you are still having fertile cm. But, your temps are pretty high for preo temps and you had a positive opk so lets just assume you did ovulate.

You can see temp dips during the 2ww for different reasons. It is probably from changes in your estrogen levels after ovulation. You'll have a second surge of estrogen after you ovulate that can cause your temp to dip.

Borrowed from wikipedia

Quote:
Estrogen, in opposition to progesterone, has a lowering effect on temperatures. A secondary estrogen surge in the middle of the luteal phase may cause a temperature dip at this time.
Implantation dip
