I just started charting basically because I have had three periods since having Liam and I think my body is starting to come around to having monthly ones...so I wanted to see what my body was really doing. I usually am really good at telling when I will start just based on ovulation pains...I always knew AF was coming within 14 days of my O pains. So I never really tracked anything. I always knew when my chances of conceiving were based on O pains and CM. But this is new and fun and I thought why not?
So I started charting towards the end of my cycle last month because I took a few hpts and had faint positives. On the day I started my AF I took another HPT and there wasnt anything there at all anymore.
Does my chart look normal with the high temps at AF time? I always thought when AF came the bbt dropped?
There are spikes in my chart I am assuming because I moved my bed near a window and since doing that my temps were lower. I moved my bed back to its original place and my temps crept back up to where they were about last time.
Also, why do my temps stay pretty much the same? Every day I temp it is usually the same temp....I think its called flatline...why does that happen?

stacy3 Ovulation Charts

Thanks!

Your chart looks totally normal. Most people have high temps during AF, it will drop right before AF comes and for must people it is pretty wacky during AF. Your temps don't look too flat to me. You'll be able to tell a lot more once you get through a full cycle.

Welcome to the Wonderful World of Charting!!!

I think your chart looks absolutely normal. You had the initial high temps at the beginning during AF, like we almost all do, now you're dropping down and bouncing around in a more "usual" Pre-Ov temp range.

Personally, I think your chart looks good and steady... not erratic and all over the place, ya know? You wanna see a wacky lookin' chart, take a peek at mine this cycle. I am truly all over the place!

As for a temp "flatline", I don't really think you need to worry about that. I've gotten the exact same temperature 5 out of 6 days in a row before and had my cycle move on just fine. It's more of an issue when the overall chart shows flat-lined temps.

I think you'll be moving into the fertile phase of your cycle pretty soon. Definitely keep an eye on your CM and keep BD'ing!!

Best of Luck to you!!!

Yes, your chart looks very normal. Its also normal for your temps to be a little funny during AF. Sometimes they are higher than normal or sometimes they may be lower than normal. They are just going to be a little erratic. Some women dont even temp during their AF because of the erratic 'pattern'. GL!

I agree your temps look normal. A lot of gals will see a temp drop when AF starts but it doesn't always drop the first day of AF. I have had my temp actually go up the day AF started so it doesn't always drop. It is very normal to have erratic temps during AF. They are leveling off now which makes me think you are getting closer to ovulating.

You may see a drop soon. A lot of girls will have a temp drop before they ovulate so don't be surprised is that happens.

Good luck. Hopefully you will ovulate soon!
