Do you like snow or hate it? Do you get snow where you live? If so, a lot or a little?

I do not like snow. I grew up in Florida so I just guess I never learned to love it. I used to think it was cool but now I hate it. We live in Michigan so we see plenty of it.

The truth is I really don't hate it but I don't like driving in it or shoveling it or any of the other things that go along with it. I don't mind looking at it. I usually make dh drive me everywhere when it snows.

I live in WI, so yeah, we get snow. I like it when....

A: I don't have to drive in it

or

B: It's enough to get me a snow day!! (I'm a teacher)

I LOOOOVE it...but then again I live an hour from michelle and we got the snow too!! It was so beautiful b/c we rarely get pretty snow in TX...usually its just icky slush or sleet that turns into sheets of ice. It was beautiful. (AND MICHELLE, it should snow again on Friday!!)

I can't wait for Friday!!!

I can definitely see how it would get old fast if I had to live with it regularly in the winter, but since it's so rare here (and even more so in Louisiana) I just love it! But I'm with Patty about not driving anywhere in it. In fact I even stock up on food, drinks, toilet paper...all the necessities in the winter because although we don't get a lot of snow, we do get a lot of ice here. I am NOT driving when it's icy...so I make sure that if need be I don't have to leave my house for days till it melts. LOL

In fact, it's so bad that when we get ice I tell DH, "Oh, I am turning on the news so I can watch the Ice Capades". Last year during an ice storm one of the local news channels was on air for hours and they showed the TXDOT cameras almost the entire time because there were so many vehicles sliding on the roads. No WAY am I going out to drive around in that!

I live in Michigan too (Upper Peninsula) and we get lots of snow. I like it a lot (hate ice) and don't mind driving in it, it's the crazy drivers out there that scare me not the snow lol. I grew up in Ireland with no snow.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE SNOW!!!!!!

I think it's fantastic!!! I will concede that driving in winter weather is an acquired talent. I'm an East Coast girl, so I can get myself from Point A to Point B, because... well... when you live on the East Coast, you have no choice, ya know?

I can't wait for our first snow! I wish it were cold enough to snow now!! We just keep getting rain! Boo!!!!

I will agree with not driving in ice storms. That's just crazy. They are a beautiful work of natural art, though. If you've ever woken up early the morning after an ice storm and you look out and the entire world is encased in shiny crystal clear ice... Oh! That's just breathtaking!

I LOVE the snow! I grew up in the midwest so I always had snow and the cold weather around the holidays. Now, in FL of course we never see snow. It doesn't feel right!

The best thing in the world is waking up after it snowed and seeing the beautiful white landscape outside. You can't beat that in my book!

I'm from PA and I definitely miss the snow! There are a few good things about living in the south, like the warm weather in the "winter" (it was 80 on Christmas Day here last year!!) but sometimes you just want that cold weather to cuddle up. If I could have it my way I'd live in the north and south and travel a lot! Although I think I'd stay away from here in the summer...it's WAYYY too humid!

Michelle just wanted to thank you for the lovely snow we have had today. It was really more like freezing rain. It seems to be gone now but as I was driving in it today I thought of you. LOL.

I'm from northern California.. and we never got snow. Once in a huge great while we'd get some but it would melt by the time it hit the ground. Where I live now in NM we live at such a high elevation that we get snow. We got some last weekend, not very much and it's all melted away now. But I hear that late december through february we get quite a few inches. As for driving in it I usually try to avoid it at all costs. If I grew up driving in it like DH did then it would be one thing, but I grew up with hard rain being the worst weather to drive in. I'm terrified of hitting black ice or something.. As for snow though, I absolutely love it!

LOL! I had the news on this morning and I saw that you guys got your first blast of snow and thought to myself, "Oh I bet Patty's wishing I'd never brought up anything about snow. She's going to think I sent this to her.".

Now if you could send it back my way, I'd greatly appreciate it! :-D
