Yesterday I had an appointment with my regular family doctor about the weird cramping I've been having. I posted about it a couple weeks ago, I think. I have it nearly everyday throughout my cycle, with the exception of a few days right between the end of AF and before O. It definitely feels like my ovaries though and seems to get worse if I do a lot.
Anyway, my old doctor moved to a different clinic, so this was my first time seeing this new doctor and I like her so much better already. I have military insurance, so I don't get to pick my doctor, so I lucked out! She seemed really concerned and was willing to help. She even asked me if I charted and asked me TONS of questions. I was honestly just expecting her to say that it was just my body getting back to normal after the D&C 3 months ago. But, she really thinks I might have PCOS. So, she ordered some bloodwork for me and today I went to get that drawn to test my glucose, cholesterol and thyroid. And she also ordered an u/s for me, but I have to get that done at the Naval Hospital and I tried calling nearly a bazillion times and all they have is an answering machine telling you to leave a message with your info and they'll call you back to schedule an appt. within TWO to THREE WHOLE DAYS! I am so impatient. I left them a message yesterday and then another one today, lol. I hope they call me soon. I also hope that she calls me later today with the results from the bloodwork, but I know she might be waiting to see the results from the u/s to give me any results.
But, I was wondering, what are some normal levels for your thyroid, cholesterol and glucose? And I tried googling, and I couldn't really find a connection between coholesterol and TTC. I'm sure having good cholesterol wouldn't hurt TTC, though.
And she also said she would probably put in a referral for an OB/GYN for me, but that takes like 3-4 days. And she was kinda going back and forth as to whether she was going to wait to see the results of everything before putting in the referral or just putting it in right away.
So, that's that. I was really happy with how it went though.
