Well, it's official. I have PCOS. However it's not terribly bad. She said that the cysts are small and can be easily treated with BCP, but since we are trying to get pregnant she's going to (eventually) start me on meds to help O. I have to call her office on CD 1 and they'll set up testing for an HSG (is that right? the test to see if your tubes are open or not?). That will get done approximately a week or so into my new cycle. She said she wants to do this before putting me on meds because if my tubes are blocked then the meds aren't going to help anyway. (She knows that I'm not fond of being on any kind of medicine unless I have to be, so I'm glad that she's going to make sure it's feasible that the meds would be able to work.)
So, the good news came though while having the ultrasound done. It was a transvaginal ultrasound which is a whole other story. LOL The tech doing the ultrasound showed me that one of my ovaries (I can't remember which now) has a HUGE follie on it!!! She said it looks like it's ready to go at any time!!! She laughed because I got so excited. I told her "Thank God, this will be the first time in months that I O"! So I attacked DH last night and plan on attacking him again tonight and tomorrow night and the next night...
So the spotting and the EWCM are definitely because of approaching O! Now of course I'd be on cloud 9 if we got pregnant this month, but just knowing that I'm close to O is so exciting! I'm also hoping that the Provera helped to kick start my cycles and they'll level off a bit now. We'll have to wait and see about that though. So girls, please, please, please say lots of prayers, send good thoughts into the universe, whatever it is that you do in hopes that I ovulate soon! I am just so darn excited!!!
Ok, so I'm off to decorate the tree since we skipped out on that last night. LOL I'll be back around later this afternoon though!
