You can take it as long as you need to, and stop whenever you want without having to worry. B6 is actually great for morning sickness too, so I took mine through my first trimester.

i've heard you should stay on it until you talk to your doctor. Supposedly stopping it abruptly can lower your progesterone level.

I don't know about what effects it would cause by stopping it, but I've also heard that it helps with morning sickness (my friend's doctor told her to take it when she was in her first trimester).

I didnt stop until I went to the DR the first time because I heard mixed things. But yes, it does help with morning sickness (although it didnt so much for me, but I was fortunate mine wasnt THAT bad or long). My DR had no idea that B6 extended your LP, so she wasn't much help on whether or not I could stop!

Yeah that's what I'm afraid of Candace............they will look at me like I'm a nutcase and they will have no idea that it extends your LP.

I am taking 100 mg so I guess I'll just keep taking it until at least my 1st appointment which is at 10 weeks..............defintiely don't want to take any chances.

Hm...this post has me wondering now... I started taking B6 the cycle I got my BFP and then I stopped taking it a few days after I got my BFP and had a missed m/c. I wonder if stopping the B6 contributed to that...

You know I was taking 50mg when I got pregnant with my son and I think I stopped taking it soon after my BFP...for some reason I can't remember when I stopped taking it, usually I'm kind of OCD about things like that. Everything turned out fine, though.
