How do you feel about having a Summer baby?!
I live in TX where it is 105 in the shade during the summer. I was always out on the idea of a summer baby. But for some reason i feel really attached to the August DDC right now... I'm sure this will be short lived like it always is, but i would LOVE to have a summer baby!

I would've loved to have a summer baby. I'm a teacher so it would have been perfect. If I were to be pregnant this cycle though, my edd would be in September...so I'm out for a summer baby.

I had a September baby and that was terrible being huge all summer. My second child I had in November so I was pretty big all summer, but we lived in a cooler climate so it wasn't bad. After two summers in a row being pregnant, I would prefer a January-May baby this time. We're NTNP for now and TTC in May (so due in February), partially to avoid being big all summer.

I've had a January baby and an August baby. I prefer to be due in the winter/spring...but honestly I couldn't help feeling blessed if I got to be in August DDC again.. I live in a cooler climate now, summer days don't get past 90 degrees so I think I'd be ok having a baby in summer now. IDK that I'd want 2 birthdays so close. My youngest's bday is August 26th and if I'm pregnant now I'd be due August 24th. However, there's a good chance I could go into the first part of September, and DH's bday is in September.. so we'll see

It's about 95 °C here most days in the summer, but it's also humid and apartments in France don't usually have a/c... So if this is my cycle to get pregnant I have half a mind to spend my days at the movies or in the mall (a/c)

Kate I'm with you on those scorching hot Texas summers...they suck without being pregnant! (Do you remember the month of 100+ temps that started midway through JUNE?!) But I don't care. I want a baby and I'll take him or her (or them LOL) whenever God gives them to me. Even if it means sitting on my butt in my air conditioned house for the whole summer! LOL

I would love a summer baby! Brandon was due in August but came in July. My other kids were born in the fall or winter. If I get pregnant this month I will be due in the beginning of September but I am pretty sure I will end up delivering in August. All of my kids have come early so I am thinking I would end up with a late August baby. But, even if I did deliver in September which would also be cool since I have 2 bdays and an anniversary in September anyway, I would still be pregnant in the summer.
I just love summer maternity clothes. They are so cute. I don't like to wear maternity till the end so it would be great to get to wear some cute summer short sets or sundresses.

My son was a winter baby and my daughter was born the last week of August. I definitely preferred being very pregnant in the winter. I could always warm up if I was cold by adding layers but even in air conditioning, I was always so darn hot and swollen with my daughter during the last trimester - in the hottest part of the year!!!

And this (for me) is a very good reason to be pregnant during the summer!! I love sundresses and such and to be able to wear maternity ones would be awesome. I agree, summer maternity wear is just so cute.

just stalking....but Brylie was due Aug 28 (born aug 8 due to HELLP) but in Iowa it gets 105+++ too and its SO HUMID! I LOVEDDD being pregnant in the summer. My mother in law has a pool and only lives 6 miles, so I was there daily and it made my labor so much easier I think! (19 hours of pit and no pain meds, highest my pit got was 32).....also, I loved that it was perfectly appropriate for me to wear basically nothing
I am hoping for a Sept baby next time, so I can be huge ALL summer and not miss out on the last few weeks because of PP bleeding

Like someone said...I think it was Michelle....a baby any time is fine with me!!! However, I live in the Central Valley in California, so it gets HOT here!!! BUT there's no humidity, so having lived in Houston growing up, I would much prefer this summer than summer there! And yes, maternity summer clothes are so cute!!! I really hope to join the August DDC Good luck to everyone!!

You sound like me! I have had a Sept, Oct, Dec baby...we dont plan to try until May even though we are NTNP now. I am charting to see if I am even ovulating yet since I still nurse Liam. I would love a baby between March and June...August would be ok too though...if it happened. DH wants a Nov baby so that we have all the months ending in ER and then their birthdays would be one right after the other. I think its nuts!
