Okay, I had to do it over Thanksgiving and now again at Christmas. Lucky us. This time we are staying for 2 weeks (we are both teachers) so I guess it was inevitable. Not the most romantic way to conceive, but hey, a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do.

This cycle I am not going to be so anal about "covering the bd bases 2 weeks out of the cycle" as I have in the past. It obviously didn't help us out anyway. I will do the OPK's (also in secret cause MIL would freak out if she saw what appeared to be 10 pregnancy tests in the bathroom trash can-can you imagine??) and pretty much try to do it those 3 or 4 days around 0ing time. Oh yeah, I kind of have to hide my BBT thermometer cause that also arise weird suspicions from MIL. BTW, she isn't crazy or anything, I think any normal mother would wonder if she saw those items in her son and daughter-in-laws guest room. We are still hoping to be able to surprise family with baby news therefore are trying to be low key about baby making equipment, lol.

Anybody else in my boat?

I'm not in your situation, but I can only imagine all of the subterfuge and shenanigans that will go on as you try to hide your baby-making plans from your MIL!!

Good luck!!

I am laughing because this is actually how we just conceived!!! We live in MI and went to PA to visit dh's dad and his wife over Thanksgiving!!! I had to take my OPK's on the days we travelled! We slept out in their camper so we had a little more privacy but we did it! Good Luck to you!!!!!

I won't be in that situation, but I can only imagine how my MIL would look if she found my thermometer or OPKs.

I wont have to worry so much about getting the BD in, rather it will be right at the end of my 2 WW. I decided today that I am NOT going to haul with my BBT or any other "TTC stuff"....just gonna enjoy being with our families & even if AF shows I'm mentally prepared this cycle. Happy Holidays !!!

LOL. If AF arrives in the next few days, (which I am really hoping she won't!) I will be taking all my OPKs, BBT and Monitor and test sticks to my parents' house. They know that we are TTC, though, so it's not as big of a deal, I guess.
