So I had taken a short break from temping since I don't O for so long anyway and have just started back up this week. Anyway since then I have had semi low temps, for me anyway, so would not think I was near O'ing yet. But a couple of days ago I noticed some super thick jelly looking stuff on my panties but when I checked my CM the normal way, it was white-ish and a little creamy so it did not indicate ovulation to me at all. I am just confused what that jelly glob could have been if I don't have any other fertile looking CM and my temps aren't indicating anything yet either. Any ideas?

The glob can be the first sign that you've entered the fertile phase. It can indicate that the plug in the cervix is coming out so sperm can enter the cervix. EW is not the only kind of CM that is fertile, any kind of CM is potentially fertile. EW shows up at the end of the fertile phase, but everything leading up to that can also keep sperm cells alive (sticky, creamy, anything you feel or see at all!)

Thanks Shawna, I just looked at my CM and it was white-ish and on the creamier side but took an OPK just for the heck of it and holy moley it's a smiley face!! I'm in shock, this is 13 days before I O'ed last cycle... 13!!!! Could I be dreaming?! LOL, I know I sound loony but the idea of my cycle not being close to 50 days makes me feel like skipping!

I completely understand. My cycles usually run well into the 60's. But, every cycle is unique and past cycles don't predict the current. It's always possible to ovulate earlier or later than you ever have before.

Thank you again Shawna, that is so exited to know! I just have a hard time letting myself believe it so I am second guessing it. I just had a minor urinary tract infection so took the 3 day antibiotics a few days ago but the doc said that is shouldn't affect my TCC.... Do you think it's possible that could affect getting a + OPK?

Penicillin based antibiotics are known mucus enhancers, but that would not make you have a +OPK. Your hormones are doing that.
