Hi everyone Ive been a memeber on this site for awhile. I just had a baby boy in August and I am now trying to learn to chart. I want to chart as a way of secondary protection for one. I cant take hormonal BC and Im extremely paranoid about getting pregnant right now. But we also want to try again around the time my son is 1. We had some trouble getting pregnant the first time so I figured maybe if I knew how to chart it might make the second time a little easier! Anyways onto my question. I noticed a dip in my chart on cycle day 13 but no CM to accompany the dip. Now today on day 17 I believe I am having EWCM. Fertility friend hasnt pinpointed ovulation yet but should I go by the dip or the CM??? Has anyone else had this same kind of situation?

Here is my chart if you want to see.

Welcome to the board!

When I click on your link it takes me to my own chart. Try going to "sharing" then "home page setup" and there is a link at the top.

Hmm .. I don't know ..

There is a natural family planning board on JM as well (just in case you haven't checked in there yet) that might be helpful as well as the ladies here. I know it's kind of slow at this time of year but I hope between here and there someone will be able to give you some insight soon

First, let me give you a warm to Fertility Charting!! So glad you found your way over here!!

I think it's brilliant that you are beginning to chart BEFORE TTC another baby. This will give you tons of information about your body, your cycles and hopefully make TTC that 2nd baby much easier for you.

Your BBT, your body temperature at rest, is a critical fertility sign because it is the only sign that will tell you definitively that you ovulated. It is also the only sign that will let you pinpoint (to as close a degree as possible) when ovulation occurred. All your other signs tell you only that ovulation is approaching.

If you're avoiding right now, anytime you see EWCM treat yourself as extremely fertile!!

I look forward to getting to know you better and helping you master Charting as you get closer to starting for Baby #2!!
