I got my +OPK on CD 18 (it was + both times I tested). FF told me that I'd O between CD 18 and 20. Last month I got two positives in one day and then O'd a couple of days later. So, the BDing commenced and I figure tonight would be the last time as it's CD 20 and this will be the 7th time in 9 days (and quite honestly, I'm spent!).

I was goofing around and seeing how high my temp would have to go in the next couple of days (you know, so I could chant my desired temp as I took it -- I'm not the only crazy one who does that, right?), and in every possible situation it has me O'ing on CD 18 -- the day I got the +OPK. Now, my temps for the last two mornings didn't spike. I assumed I'd O today and so when I put the higher temps for CD 21, 22, and 23, FF still has me O'ing on CD 18. Even If I put in EWCM for the next couple of days, it still has me O'ing on CD 18.

So in a nutshell, as long as my temps go up, regardless of how fast they go up, apparently I'll have O'd on CD 18. I'm not complaining about this date -- we would have BD'd 3 times before and the day after -- but I'm just curious as to the formula FF uses.

And.....here's the million dollar question.....do we BD tonight????

I found this on FF that might help explain how they figure it out: When will ovulation be detected?

I think the software also takes into consideration your CM and you had EWCM on the CD 18 as well as the + OPK...so those may all factor into FF picking that day.

I think you'd be safe to not bd tonight. If I were you, I'd be exhausted...lol.

I am by no means an expert, but the only thing that makes me wonder about whether you've ovulated or not is that your temp should generally rise at least 4/10 of a degree. You're chart from November very clearly shows this shift, but your current chart doesn't yet. I know it's hard to keep BD'ing after you've done it so frequently. I might try to BD again if I were you but not if it just really feels like too much.

After spending the last hour or so analyzing the stupid chart, I did go back and make one real adjustment -- I had used an adjusted temp for CD 18 and I went back and put down the actual temp and time (it was taken 40 minutes earlier than it should have been -- maybe those 40 minutes were making a huge difference??). I'm still not including that one discarded temp because I know it's not accurate -- I barely got any sleep that night. No more adjusted temps for me!

I'm not going to play around with FF anymore. It's just too confusing!!!

Oh, and we'll probably BD one more time tonight -- although I don't know what good that will do. Thanks for your help ladies!
