There's really no way to know 100% prior to ovulating exactly when it will happen.
OPK's are your best bet if you want some sort of heads up 12-36 hours prior to O. Even then, false positives are possible as well as positive tests but no O within the 12-36 hour time frame.
Fertility Monitors are another, albeit more expensive, tool you can use to give you a window of time when ovulation is expected to occur.
The only way to know FOR SURE is to see 3 consecutive high temps or to have an ultrasound.
And yes... FF can only confirm ovulation after those 3 temps have been entered.
Yeah, exactly what Nikki said. I personally have a temp dip USUALLY on my O day, but not everyone does, and I use OPK's as a better tool for predicting when I O so I know to be sure to BD. Good luck!
