I think your timing during the group of days where it looks like O may have happened is really good... so even though you may not know the exact date, I think your chances are still pretty good.
Okay, on to the second part of your posting... YAY for getting in to the doctor to have some b/w done!! I have had the whole b/w work up done, and now that I have... I have to say, it feels so great to know exactly where things stand.
Basically my doctor tested all of hormone levels to see where I was, so I went to have blood drawn the next morning because she wanted me to be "fasting".
I had the blood drawn on a Tuesday morning and my doctor called me Thursday evening with all of the results. So it was quite quick.
If he's mostly interested in your progesterone levels, it's because he's looking for definitive confirmation of O and how strong your O was.
After O, they generally want to see a progesterone level of at least 10 on a natural cycle and at least 15 on a medicated cycle. If it's below 10, then he'd know that while you were ovulating, it would be a "weak O" and that you may need something like Clomid to give it a boost.
You'll definitely have to KUP on your results and what he has to say!!
