I need some opinions on my chart, please. FF says that I O'd on CD 17, but I'm wondering if it actually happened on CD 19. My last day of EWCM was on CD 18, and I had a typical post-O temp rise on CD 20. I thought if I discarded the huge temp dip I had on CD 17 that it would move my O date forward, but FF actually moves it back to CD 16. Thoughts on when I might have O'd?

I would personally be inclined to go with FF based on your OPKs. It's not that weird to still have EWCM the day after O, seen that on a lot of charts, and it's also not odd for it to take a few days for temps to rise up to their new elevated post-O level. So, yeah .. just personally, I'd go with FF.

Well, that's interesting but good. That puts me further into my 2WW and makes our BD timing a bit better. Thanks ladies!

My vote is CD18. Ovulation tends to coincide most closely with the last day of slippery mucus, usually occurring on that day or the day after. The temps seem to confirm that. FF tends to get really excited about "dips" and lets that one dip trump all the other data. "Dips" can be extra confirmation when they fit into the bigger picture of CM, temps, OPK's - but they aren't conclusive all by themselves like FF seems to think.
Either way, your timing is great. Best wishes!

I think either CD 17 or 18- why is your circle on CD 17 open? how sleep deprived were you? Either way you timed things well so good luck!

I can't remember how much sleep I lost, but usually when I wake up in the middle of the night, I can't sleep again for 45 minutes to an hour. I do remember that I was awake with less than three hours to go until my normal temping time.
Thanks again for everyone's input! The consensus seems to be CD 17 or CD 18, instead of CD 19 like I thought.

It could be either one, don't get too hung up on the exact day. Charting doesn't actually tell us the *exact* day of ovulation - there is a margin of error with temps and a CM Peak is accurate +/- 2 days. Charting gives us a very good estimate - it shows a window of about 2-3 days during which ovulation was likely. But it's still just an estimate. The only way to know the exact day is to have a daily trans vaginal ultrasound and watch it happen, but that's not realistic for most of us.

Personally, I am with you on CD19. I think it lines up with your cm and opks and I can see a shift on that day. But, since you have an open circle I think CD18 could be it too. Hard to say for sure. I have had plenty of charts where my o date could have been one of two dates. You just don't always know for sure but you can clearly see you ovulated.

Heehee. So many opinions! I'll probably use the conservative estimate of CD 19 as an O date to figure out when I should test. Or more unlikely I will just wait the full 14 days of being on progesterone.
