Hey ladies! I was charting when we were TTC and WTTC our first, but since I fell pregnant, had the baby and went on depo provera birth control, I haven't been charting. I'm now off the shot (5 months since the last shot) and am wanting to start charting again. I have been going over the info in the charting school section - very helpful! But now I have a question...

The last couple of days I haven't gotten a temp because I have been having trouble sleeping. The three hours of sleeping should be consecutive, right? I haven't been able to stay asleep that long lately, or else I realize I've been awake for a while and then it's too late to temp, right? Sometimes I wake up and don't get up, but just lay there and then I realize it's been a while and I forgot to temp.

Anyway, I'm still re-learning, so it might take me a while to catch up! Oh, I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Joanna, DH is Tim and we have an 18-month old son named Dalton. I'm looking forward to chatting with you ladies!

Joanna! I'm Nikki, the host of this board... we're so glad to have you!

Lots of ladies on here have sleep interruptions for various reasons, husband's work schedule, little ones needing fed or waking up sick, etc.

As a rule, yes, you want 3 consecutive hours of sleep prior to temping... However, you can always temp, adjust the time your temp was taken on FF and put something in the Notes section about the time you temped.

Conditions cannot always be perfect for temping... life happens, ya know? But even with some temps taken at "off-times", you will more than likely still be able to see your Temp Shift.

Hopefully that helps some... Welcome again and here's a bit of Baby just to help you get started!!

I look forward to getting to know you better as you continue on your TTC journey!

Ok, so I should be temping and remembering the time instead. Got it! That will make it much easier. I missed today because baby woke up with the flu!
