So, I think its gearing up but this is still a shade out, do you agree? I reckon I may get it tomorrow and that puts my O as the day after CD19 - which is my most common O date...but doesn't look good for an extended LP as I would have to have a 33 day/length cycle which would be rare!!!

PS - should I do an evening opk? Like 5pm too? I always do mine 11am.

Hi. Im Jolene. 31 years old. I suffered three years of a short luteal phase and didnt think I could get pregnant again without medical assistance but fell pregnant by accident and naturally. I am really happy and excited to be having a baby although knowing Im going it alone this time is a bit daunting and scary!

I agree. You haven't gotten a positive yet. I usually only do OPKs once a day, but I know some ladies do them twice. I don't see how it could hurt as long as you follow the same rules (i.e. limit your liquid intake for a couple hours beforehand). Good luck! I hope your LP is nice and loooong!

I'm just as confused about these silly OPKs as you are. It's my 2nd month using them and I never seem to catch the full positive. I get close (half of the line looks as dark as the control) but apparently I miss the full surge. I've been testing twice a day, too (@12pm and 8pm usually). I hope someone can help us understand this better. Good luck!

I re-looked at the 2nd one it had gone to exact of the first one!

Anyhoo, Jes, how long you been ttc? Your chart looks good with a little ov-day dip? But you spotted alot last cycle? Is that usual for you?

My doc thinks I don't ovulate at all - even with + opks and temp rises cos my progesterone test was low and my luteal phase always short. Therefore if I have weak eggs maybe that is why my opk's are never very dark?
I almost missed my O in October cos I O'd early for once (cd13) and I was shocked when I re-looked at my opk...but it was a shade out from the control (like this one) and it was only when my boobs hurt a few days later and my temps rose did I know it must have been right. Plus I took opks all the way up to my most common CD19 ov day and they stayed neg.
