hi gals, my name is lynda and i have been ttc for 2 years now. i have had three miscarriages in the last two years. i've been charting for a long time but I have one question that haunts me and I thought I would see if anyone here might have an answer to the question.

I did an opk yesterday at about 3pm. the two lines were identical in color so i marked it a pos opk. But this morning I took another opk and the second line was MUCH darker than the control line on this one. So which is the positive test? when the second line was really dark or yesterday when they were the same? just curious as to what you gals might think. I've googled it and I really couldn't find any answers. I went to my fav website peeonastick.com and she covers every aspect of opks except that one. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Lynda! Good to see you over here. Well they say a positive opk is when it is the same color or darker. It sounds like your surge started yesterday but you may find that today's opk is more indicative of when you will ovulate. If I have two tests like that I usually just put them both as positive opks and don't worry about it. For bding purposes, I would consider today's your true surge just to be safe and plan on bding for the next two or three days.

Hey Lynda... good to see you here again!!

I was going to say the exact same thing that Patty said!

As for BD'ing... you might have to tell DH to sit back and let you do the driving!!

hi lynda!!

I would say they're both positive...i just mark both days as + but once the line gets darker it then usually is the peak of the surge and O will follow after that... I wish you lots of luck!

Hello! I agree with the other ladies. I've had that happen before and I mark both as positives. I hope you're able to get some bding in soon!
