Due to OH's Moterbike accident, the doc that we saw Friday, has said that perhaps its in the best interests for us to start trying for a baby. As they wouldn't be able to say for a number of months if he has become infertility (if he has I'll kill him, (joke).

So after a discussion yesterday, I will now be charting for a couple of cycles, so I know what is normal, thank god I'm due to have AF soon. THEN we'll start TRY FOR A BABY , ok so I hadn't told him, I started using the CB moniter, or checking my CM. let's just keep that between us girls

I know that we have issues, but the doc said that I'm reasonable healthy, minus the aneamia, but the pre-natals should assist with that,

P.S we still live with my parents, so thats gotta change VV Soon, we sleep in separate rooms, so this will be interesting.

to Fertility Charting! I'm Nikki, the host of this board.

I'm glad to hear that you and your OH are getting ready to try for a baby! We're happy to help answer any questions you may have to help you get your way through it. Charting can seem a bit overwhelming at first, but if you stick with it, it really does become quite simple and tells you so much about your body.

If you don't have one already, you'll need to pick up a BBT. A fever thermometer won't cut it... it's not sensitive enough to show you the small variations in your temps each day, and those variations mean a lot!

If you haven't already, set up a Fertility Friend account to keep track of all of your temps. This program is FAB!! It really makes things simple, especially when you're just getting started. It draws your cover lines and everything for you! And there's a FREE version!

Check out the stickies in the Fertility Charting School subforum. There are "classes" in there that can be super helpful.

And above all else... jump into the conversation. No question is too simple or too TMI. You'd be surprised how much it takes to make us blush now!!

Welcome again... and Baby and Best of Luck to you!

Thanks, I've had an account with fertility friend for a couple of years, just didn't use it. I've already brought a BBT, (well two) OH picked up a boots fertility diary, and I had ordered one through amazon. I also ordered a ferning microscope.

I think the issue I'll have is that I wake up at different times during the week, but I also wake up a lot during the night as well.

I'd try to pick a temp time that you wake at most frequently and have that be your default temp time. Any temping time other than that should be marked as Sleep Deprived and FF will make that day an Open Circle on your chart. They're nothing to worry about... it's just FF's way of differentiating between temps taken at and outside the normal time.

I rarely sleep completely through the night either... but as long as you have gotten 3 consecutive hours of sleep prior to temping, you'll be just fine!

Hope that helps...
