Doc wants me to wait for 3 periods before we TTC again.... thats not including the bleeding now... 3 cycles??? Thats a long time.
I had a miscarriage before Kayla and only waited 1 cycle before i got pregnant. and that miscarriage was soooo much worse on my body.
Whats your opinion should i listen to the doc who obviously knows best, or should i just casually creep to TTC again next cycle?? I mean it took an aweful long time to catch the last eggie.

Did you need a d&c?

He is probably encouraging you to wait to make absolutely sure your lining has time to build back up so it's nice and healthy for when you do TTC again. If the lining is too thin, the risk for m/c is higher. If you had a d&c, I would agree with him. If you m/c naturally, I don't think it's necessary to wait 3 cycles. One should be enough.

I would imagine so. They really scrape the inside of your uterus during a D&C, so all lining is removed - but there can also be some injury from the scraping. That needs a bit of time to fully heal to support a nice thick lining again.

If this doctor was directly involved in doing the d&c, he would have seen the condition of your uterus and would have an idea of how long recovery would take based on what he saw.

Why not ask him for the reason behind the 3 month wait?

I was told one cycle after my m/c, but I didn't have a D&C. I bet that is why they told you to wait.
