This is only my second cycle temping and I am still confused on some things, but here is my question.. I have been having high temps after a little dip and then lastnight my temp dipped again.. I am thinking that having my mouth open had something to do with it cause i still feel like I am hopeful, but after last cycle I can't help but get bummed out.. If my nose is stuffy and I had my mouth open will that cause a temp dip?

I wouldnt be too concerned because your temp is still above the coverline.
At 13DPO you probably could test soon. I didnt get AF until my temp dropped below the coverline. Then it started that day
Sleeping with your mouth open can cause your temps to drop. IF you normally sleep with you mouth open then you should take your temps vaginally. But if this is the only temp like that, I think you said that you have a stuffy nose, then I wouldn't worry to much. Like PP said.. you temps are still above your CL. :-)
When you sleep with your mouth open or breathe through your mouth at night, you may notice that your basal body temperatures are lower than usual. This is not unusual but there is really no way to correct the chart to account for this. If this happens only occasionally (due to nasal congestion with a cold for example) this should not have much impact on your chart. Simply make a note of the circumstances so that you will remember why that temperature seems out of place. One or two unusual temperature points will not usually affect your chart interpretation. You will still likely be able to see your ovulation pattern.
