Hi ladies! So this cycle (only on CD 9), my temps are a lot higher than they usually are- above 98! My sleeping hasn't changed, but I don't take my temp at the same time each day- I never have since I work night shift 3 nights a week, but that has never affected my chart too much, except it's probably a little rockier than usual. I was on Prometrium after O last cycle but haven't taken that in like 10-11 days. I am on an antibiotic for a suspected sinus infection, so I guess that might be it, but didn't think so. Any ideas? TIA!

I would wait and see what happens. If you are having a sinus infection that might cause your temperature to be a little higher while your body is trying to fight off the infection. Illness can definitely increase your temps.

Yeah, I was thinking that I would be surprised if an infection DIDN'T make temps go higher.

The body has all sorts of mechanisms working full tilt, trying to fight off whatever it is that you've caught. It is then perfectly reasonable to propose that those additional inner workings may then raise your body temp in the same way that talking prior to temping would.

Also, those mechanisms aren't working in a normal temping situation... so it would also stand to reason that you would see a differentiation between the temps on that front.

Either way... I hope that, as you start to feel better, your temps stabilize and take on a more usual pattern.

I would go mark your chart so that you have open circles there. I believe there is a check box under specific situations for illness. If you have higher temps it could throw off the interpretation of your chart. I would go back and make sure you mark those days with illness.
