Hi Everyone! I am new too charting (this morning was morning #4), and my temps have been pretty consistant, Fri 97.0, Sat 96.9, Sun 96.8, Mon 96.8. Is this normal to have a BBT in the 96 deg range? I did start charting about 2 weeks since day 1 of AF's visit (which I probably shouldn't have done..too excited I guess)! Could that b causing the consistant temps? I've been monitoring my CM and from what i've been reading I did have EWCM on Friday, and again on Sunday! Do I need to really give charting a full cycle?

Any advice would be helpful!

Thanks ladies! Hope everyone enjoys their Monday!!

UPDATE:
Ok, so as an update to the above question I asked the other day, Tuesday temp was again 96.8, and when I tested this morning It was 95.27!! Is there something wrong? That just seems like a huge decline overnight. AF isn;t due for another 12-14 days! I've read a couple things about sleeping with your mouth open...what does this affect? I did wake up this morning with a sore throat, and it felt pretty dry, maybe I was sleeping with my mouth open. Would this of caused that much of a drop?

Thanks for all your help ladies! I always know where to come if I need a little advice!

I'm a bit confused... tell me if I've got this right...

Today is the 4th temp you have taken?

The 1st temp you took was 2 weeks after AF started?

I guess that's what happens when you try to post something at 7:30am on a Monday!

Ok, so this morning is my 4th day of charting. I started charting in the middle of my cycle. For example, I've read that when you begin charting you should begin on the first day that AF shows up (maybe that's incorrect). I started charting 2 weeks after AF came. So I literally just woke up one morning and said I am going to start charting.

Hopefully that kind of better explains!

I wouldnt be concerned about whether they are "normal" or not. Haviing not sharted before I would still guess these are preO temps. if you are TTC you should be checking your CM to help determine when you are about to O so you can time BD accordingly

Yeah... you generally want to start temping at the beginning of a cycle... not the middle of one, but No Worries... You're here now!!

to the Wonderful World of Charting!!

From the sound of your temps, it sounds quite possibly that you may be experiencing a decline in temps as your body gets ready to O.

Since you said AF was about 2 weeks ago... the time is about right for O.

If you are TTC... keep BD'ing until you've got 3 consecutive high temps to confirm O.

If you haven't already, you'll want to look into setting up a Fertility Friend account to track and chart out all of your temps. That will make "seeing" your temps and patterns much easier... and it also makes it easier for us to answer your questions!

Best of Luck & Baby

Thanks Nikki!
I did sign up for FF.com and I really like how easy it is!
I'll just keep charting away and see how it all goes!
