Think about everything that has to go right to GET pregnant in the first place and then go on to have a healthy pregnancy...and wonder how on EARTH there are so many babies born every day?

I must be having a weird day. I just looked my son napping and felt like I won the miracle lottery!

How did he happen? How did I get so lucky? Just the fact that DH's sperm made it all the way to my egg is kinda amazing. And then it had to implant properly, all my hormones had to cooperate, nothing went wrong for a whole 9 months....I only hope I can be so lucky again someday!

Lottery does sound about right! Nicole, it's funny that you brought up chemicals and pollutants as part of the reason for decreased sperm count and such. I remember, not that long ago, when things like PCOS were practically unheard of. Now it's such a common thing for women to have this and I strongly feel that it's a reaction to the environment we live in these days. Between the air we breathe, the food we eat, even the homes in which we live...we are polluting our bodies in every way imaginable so it's no wonder that we are having more and more reproductive health issues.

I totally agree that seems so hard to come by and it is amazing how some people without trying are lucky so much and others not.
